Dragonball Z Vs. Naruto

ok this is where you post wich is better DRAGONBALL Z or NARUTO, you decide. anyway lets get this tournament underway! ROUND ONE IS BEGINNING!!!!!!!

right now naruto is my favorite anime
DBZ never used to be my favorite
it was rurouni kenshin, then DBZ
but now its Naruto, Kenshin, THEN DBZ

Better in what way?

In my opinion, Dragonball is better than both naruto and DragonballZ. the saiyan/namek/frieza saga was great and then things started to roll downhill. Cell saga was not bad, but it wasn't as good as the frieza saga until the tournament,which happened way too late. We always knew Gohan was a beast and it was nice to see him completely pwn someone. That is where it should have ended, with Gohan picking up his fathers mantle. Then, there was the Buu saga, the worst of them all. As a villain, I like buu, I really do, but the story sucked hard, and when gohan released all his potential what happened? Goku and Vegeta quickly rose above him. Kids were going supersaiyan like it was nothing.Favorite old character just weren't of any use anymore and did I mention GREAT SAYAMAN! It was all crap. Naruto's plot drags sometimes and most of the fights just arn't as epic as DBZs, but normally there are good fights with an increasingly awesome plot(akatsuki pretty much saved the entire story) although I do believe there are too many characters than can be developed, and when there is a fight of major epicness it is a sight to behold, so I'm going to say Naruot because it's overall more stable.

i am a dbz fan but considering HOW BETTER THE STORY IS FOR NARUTO i just can't help my self to think naruto is better.... lol should be like KAMEHAME NO JUTSU lol

i pick dbz because theres an explanation for MOST of the peoples powers (aliens) but whats with narutos superpowers? i mean really ninjas dont have powers. they have skill, smarts, agility and tools. THATS IT. NO SUPERPOWERS.

yes but no matter how hard you work you cant get superpowers.

In fantasy universes you can. The explanation in Naruto is that humans have a "chakra system" which allows them to manipulate chakra to perform superhuman feats.

thats ok but when its being compared to something that has an OK explanation to one that doesent heave much of one at all, it isint as good. (in that sense of course)

dbz is a classic. its humour, i love. and its vintage feal is nice. but sumtimes, characters destroying a planet every other second can get boring. as far as naruto. the anime is better than the manga{japanese audioa anyway} its a better concept, less childish, more complicated/sophisticated, great music, and great storyline/fights. so id pick naruto.

ofcourse there are much better animes than naruto out there. kenshin has to be near the top. fullmetal alchemist, chrno crusade, etc etc

Ninjutsu and chakra is explained a lot more clearly than ki ever was in dbz as in its explained how chakra works where as with KI its like yea they use it to shoot big beams of energy and it comes from with in a person but it was never actualy explained how it worked in any sort of detail.

well you know most of the animes that come out now dont last even close to what dragonball z lasted, and most of the time its a new version that brings it down and i hear there coming out with a new version of naruto. when i say dbz i mean it last extremly long popularity wise and i mean db/z/gt.

ya dbz everyone knows of dbz either you watch anime or not DBZ IS THE BOSS OF ANIME but naruto we got NARUTO/SHIPPUUDEN/ and they are gonna have a 3rd part and that part is gonna deal with orchimaru i would think and it will end

DBZ has a sh*t story line, and sh*t fights. They spend 3 episodes staring at each other, really, then Goku just finishes it with a spirit bomb, like always. However, DBZ is a classic, it was my all time favourite show when I was a kid.

Naruto FTW, however.

yea new versions of animie are always there downfall (except dbz).

I agree. If Drangon Ball Z stopped after the Frieza Saga, then it would be one of the all best animes. Moving on the Cell as before said was ok, but Buu Sage drug out way too long and totally ruined the Anime. Dragon Ball GT just ****ed it complete up as well. Naruto and Bleach are now my all time faves, and well, Naruto wins this one. If you would have asked me this question 7 years ago, it would have been different.
