Honestly, if you're a good actor, you could play many roles. I only think you get typecast in a role if you do it repeatedly, like Chris Reeves. Before you even take on a major role like this or like Superman, you should already establish yourself as a good actor, otherwise you're pretty much screwed for your whole career.

Well, I know the question wasn't directed at me but Liam Neeson is a pretty damn good actor. As we saw in "Batman Begins", he's pretty good at playing the villain. He even looks somewhat like Zeus. He's really the perfect choice for Zeus if you ask me.
