Given the level of scrutiny that most characters face, I think using this character based on that clip alone would be futile. I can hear the arguments now. Starting with the fact that there's no way to gauge how durable the metal of those robots in the video were, so there's no way of knowing how sharp or durable his sword is or what it would be capable of cutting through.

I personally found it impressive, btw.

What/who exactly is that video about? It was pretty intense.
as of now, it's only the "pilot" so to speak, for a trilogy of feature length films. I really hope a studio runs with it.
In defense of Carver, The Superman/Batman Apocalypse movie is one of those things I wish was canon. It's an improvement on the Loeb story (not that that's a challenge) also it being canon would negate some later terrible stories involving Darkseid (including the dreaded stairs incident).

Space Buddha for mid Herald.
No DC animated feature is canon. At all. Not on this board, not in general. They're adaptations. There is absolutely no backing at all to suggest them being canon to the DCU.
Also, I'm amazed at people thinking the movie was better than the comic, but each to his own i guess.

I just seen that Superman Darkseid fight and that was one of the best fight scenes that I have seen on an animation DC movie. That speed feat from Superman when he was blitzing Darkseid was beautiful, not DBZ "like" but it was gorgeous.By the way, that IS the best combat feat Superman has had from my knowledge unless you know of one that is better. 😕
Good movie though. If anyone want to see it, go to movies2k.com.
in the comics, plenty.

I know exactly what it is and again, it is pretty much the exact same thing as the comic... watchment wasnt anything like the comic so I dont know where you got that from.To me its canon, its was directed from the comic and DC writers had a major part in this story so again, I dont know why you are even posting to my comment when both of our minds are made up.
😛
loeb didn't write it.

loeb was awesome back in the day. people really need to stop judging him based on his later work.
Originally posted by carver9Its not in the comic making it non-canon.If it is however strait from a comic book its not exactly unrealistic. Its like when making a movie on a book. You always take graphic liberties.
Why dont they since they assisted in making the story... they had play in it and again, its directly from the comic.

Fast forward it to one hour and 4 minutes.
One of the best fight scenes I have seen from a DC and Marvel comic. Darkseid is a beast. This story is based completely off of the comic so I consider is canon... 😄
