Question: What is Eggman Nega's story? I know him from Sonic Rivals 2, but his back story wasn't fleshed out at all.

Trust me it is confusing as heck, in sonic Rush (the first game he appeared in) he is Dr. Eggmans dimensional counterpart, and both are allies in the game, In Sonic Rivals it is said Eggman Nega is Dr. Eggmans decedent; is from the future, in this game he is Dr Eggmans enemy, In sonic Rush Adventure, he goes back to being the dimensional counterpart and works with Eggman, however if he was from the future he would be in the Sonic 2006 game, the fact that shadow and blaze are and he is not makes his history a plot hole, the fact that he is left in the Ifirits dimension at the end of Sonic Rivals 2 tries to end the confusion, however since it is unknown what happened to Metal Sonic 3.0 I suspect we shall see Eggman Nega again soon.

I like the descendant idea, though the dimensional counterpart makes more sense, given his name. You seem to know the Sonic games quite well. *nods*
