Well, i've signed up for the Army, and i'm getting the process moved
along quicker because my sergeant likes me it seems.

So i've been training a lot. On top of my usual weight training, i've had
to include several cardio sessions, road runs, core training etc!
It's taking up most of my life.

What have you been up to mate?

Congratulations UP , I think every man should experience that life style and serve their country at least one time in their lifetime. I'm an X Air- Force brat so I'll give you the main pointer that most people are not prepared for.
Make sure you run a lot. And I mean a lot ! Forget the weights and just run every freaking day. You'll be expected to run 2 miles without walking on your 2 day there. The runs only get longer, along with all the other exercises.

I have having a laugh with him about it right now face haermm

I've kinda been running more lately, normally i don't do much cardio
other than rowing before a workout to warm up.

I've got friends in the army already, and i work with a few ex-army
guys so i've had preparations.

I'm not built for running, i'm too damn big, it's hard work lol.

It's usually the weak area in most new recruits ( myself included at the time). Just work on it before you go in, because its up to you how long you stay in boot camp. And boot camp ain't no joke.

I think that no matter how much i train for the running, it's going to be
the toughest part for me.

Honestly how long can you run right now without walking ?

And how much time do you have before you go in ?

Right now, probably about a mile without walking....

I have plenty of time before i go in, probably about 4 months or so.

Ok , you still have time to get in shape. Let me go find the link that saved my life. 😉

Ok UP, if you follow this 9 week program, I guarantee you'll be in perfect running shape. I did it and I was completely out of running shape, and by week six, I was already doing more than what the program would ask for. By week 9 you'll be ready for the Army.
