No there's not going to be any rules governing what is or isn't allowed unless the fighters stipulate and agree on them. I see most Battle Zone battles will be more of an evolved for of regular debate than a tourney style debate anyway(but that too will be up to the participants to decide).

So how will that effect the rules on telepaths? Will there still be the same restrictions as tournaments or no?

Nope no restrictions(unless the participants want it that way I mean). But given the nature of telepaths powers, you're probably going to want to round up scans to demonstrate things like willpower for both parties since it's such a big influence on the effects of telepathy.

What don't you get? You can still have a Battle Zone style match, it just won't go towards any team standings/rankings. There's actually nothing stopping you from having a solo debate with him now, which is basically what a Battle Zone match is.

You misunderstand, the "Battle Zone" isn't a tourney or anything like that(though many of the debates will probably be held in tourney format), all it really comprises is an organized record keeping system for debates between teams. Like I said there's nothing stopping people from having debates like that now...

I'm not actually holding the matches, it's up to the participants to take care of that kind of thing. If you want a match you have to go round up your own opponent and judges.
