We wuz just discussing this:

Mainly it's DBZ that's the problem.By cutting out the Anime, we greatly hinder that department. Manga itself is just eastern comics, and therefore SHOULD be admissable here.
I say we draw the line due to the size of the problem it generates. If it's something like Harry Potter vs. Captain America, which is easily debateable, but a couple people dislike it... I don't give a f*ck.
But, if it's a whole genre or series that generates continuous controversy, and proves to be hard to debate due to the level of fanboyism and whatnot, then get it out of our forum.
Like, for instance, DBZ.
My proposal: (It's rusty, needs refinement)
We go back to Delph's rules. Any action hero is allowed, so long as there is a comic character participating in the battle.
Anime, however, is not allowed. Manga is. Alternatively, DBZ is not allowed, anime/manga is.
Any other medium, genre or series that creates an overwhelming amount of strife on the forums shall be subject either to a temporary ban or permanent ban, IF the problem stretches past a few individuals who could be dealt with otherwise.
We get a petition or some other online thingamabob to show that the majority of respected posters could do with change. That just because Judge and AJ socks report for the fun of it, and to cause strife for new mods, that that should not be reflective towards the whole of the Comic Vs. Forum.
Thoughts?
But that's the thing, DBZ isn't the problem. Three posters are.
Anime isn't the problem. Three dick fanboys are.
The changes in the forum weren't the problem. Three dumbshits were.
Banning DBZ won't fix it, banning anime won't fix it, changing the forum back won't really fix it...
Dicks are dicks are dicks, and I don't think ANY genre or ANY specific series is the cause of said dicks.
They just are. 😐.

And, this is open for discussion, but the main root of the problem is that SOMETHING has to be done... the forum is stale.
Anyways, which three are you reffering to?

I'm not referring to an actual three posters in particular, or even three posters period. Maybe it's five, or two, whatever.
My point was SUPPOSED to be is that it was a few ****tards messing up the forum - not Anime, not DBZ, not the rules change.
Originally posted by SoljerAnd my point was that it was mostly DBZ ****tards, and perhaps elsewhere. I don't think our forum would suffer with everything menos DBZ. Unless their are other sources, but the concept is adaptive rules.

The other major source, of course, was reportedly (from a very good source), AJ/Judge/socks in general, causing the new rules to look bad, and the Mods to step in much too soon.
The new rules were WORKING. We were getting somewhere, and if you take the socks out of the equation, it's entirely possible we could still have them.
But, under the assumption that the mods won't accept just flip-flopping, and due to an honest opinion about improvement, my suggestion is to cut out the parts that cause the most conflict. I really don't care if we are series-ist. If DBZ/whatever is causing major problems, tube it.

There WAS a flood of DBZ threads at first, it was annoying as hell.
However, once diluted, there were like two threads left. Goku/Superman and Thanos/Super Buu, I think.
The only thing that even kept THOSE alive was that phenomenal troll.
Are we really going to go as far to say that Wolverine threads should have been banned because of Wolvertooth?
Are we gonna say that Hulk threads should be banned because of Devil Goblin and his myriad of douchebags?
I agree that we should do things on a case-by-case, but I think it should be the case of the THREAD, and not the genre or series. Good DBZ threads CAN exist. There WERE posters posting in the DBZ thread that were fans, reasonable, knowledgable, and very civil.
And then there was phenomenal.
Pretty much a single person causing the problem. 😬. Same with Wolvertooth, Devil Goblin, and 2damn.
😬.

I saw the most discontent with DBZ, from the most members, It's entirely possible (and probable, it would seem), that it was again just overreaction, on an even greater scale then the initial reaction to the rules as a whole.
Then it comes down to a matter of socks and moderator patience, really. IMO, mod-ville was all too quick to jump the gun and toss up the forum again. We were headed somewhere good, the only kinks being a couple socks and a couple fanboys.
Of course, we can't ban fanboys for being fanboys, but that's nothing new from Storm or Hulk.
And, again, we need change.

Agreed, agreed, and agreed.
