Whene he easily outnumbers him in top 40 singles plus has easily outsold him in album sales despite Prince outnumbering Joel in number of albums.
I've told you before, Prince outnumbers him in number 1 hits, which is more important than having GENERAL top 40 hits. Of which Prince hasn't had that many less anyway.
Furthermore, that doesn't make anybody a better songwriter.
Sales do not equal quality, we're not discussing who is the most successful, we're discussing who is the best. If sales mattered, people like Britney Spears would be better than Joel and Prince.
If you wanna discuss Joel Vs Prince, let's discuss quality of their songs, not how many they've sold.

Yeah, that one isn't going to work.
Sales doesn't equate to musical quality; in fact it is more often than not the opposite.

Not a very extreme one though.

Wait, when did Billy Joel become a credible comparison with Prince?
I don't know myself. But apparently, this thread perhaps brought to life some significance to Joel's accomplishments.
While I disgree, this thread has most definitely raised one of my eyebrows evidence by the support he's received. Maybe I overlooked his accomplishments? Maybe people are giving him too much credit for his songwriting? Not enough? Who knows.
In any event, I'm a fan of his work/music. 🙂

Robbie Williams doesn't even write his own songs, and they're terrible in any case.
😄
Robbie Williams is complaining about former songwriting partner Guy Chambers getting credit for all his biggest hits.“I’ve written a lot of songs myself, but no one appreciates that,” Robbie explained. “It pees me off because everyone thinks Guy penned ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and ‘Angels’ but they’re my songs. Just because I’m Robbie Williams from Take That, nobody credits me with anything. It’s understandable because I wasn’t the songwriter in that band. Hence, when I decided to create my own albums, people assume that the lion’s share is done by someone else. But it’s not. I write lyrics, I write melodies and occasionally I write the music, too.”
💃 💃 💃
ROBBIE WILLIAMS wants more recognition for his songwriting prowess as he's convinced most people assume he sings tracks which are written for him.
The FEEL star is appealing for pop music fans to take him more seriously.
He says, "I think it's a shame that no one knows I write my songs. People think I don't have any interest in music whatsoever. It breaks my heart.
"I mean, if people don't like my music, I want it to be because they don't like what I wrote. Don't hate it because you think I'm singing someone else's song."

I don't like it because I don't like what someone else wrote for him.
