Recently we have seen the LT shape and mold two megaverses and He was even able to resist "god" in the form of thanos. You and I both know you have to seriously be powerful to even challenge the might of "god" even for a pico second.
It doesn't take an einstien to see that the LT is seriously more poweful than he was in 1984. And Every time someone gets more powerful it doesn't have to state that they have a upgrade.
