I was in the first Iraq war, guarding a convoy of tanker trucks whilst following the battle tanks through Iraq and into Kuwait. That was well dangerous bullets, and bombs flying around.
The biggest worry wasn´t the Iraqis though, but he trigger happy US forces who had the habit of just blowing anything up that moved.
