MM's body is shunted into another dimension while phased. I dont think anything has ever hurt him in that phased state.

I once read somewhere that Superman's heat vision hurt him.

He must be partially in and partially out of this dimension otherwise you wouldn't be able to see him since photons reflect off of him and make him visible.
