The only have a large blast radius when they impact. You can easily jump over a hadouken. A hadouken is only maybe a foot tall. They are also slower then Lightning. Lightning can travel across a 30+ foot room in less then two seconds, while a hadouken floats across the stage. As for the cutscene, Sion wasn't expecting to be blasted with lightning. Once eh drew his Lightsaber he expected Nihlus to do the same.
Well then Sion is really a dumbshit as Nihilus tends to avoid saber combat(tho evidence indicates he's very skilled at it) and use Force powers, Sion should know this as they used to be fellow apprentices, then Sion became Nihilus' apprentice. All Sion has to his name is his semi immortal thing and proficient saber skills.
Again, Traya's quote can mean a number of different things. Prove that her quote was directly referring to his force abilities and intelligence. Being brutish doesn't make you stupid, being convinved that you no longer want to live also isn't stupidity, and even if it was has no bearing on this match, and he at first wanted to kill Kreia, hopign to usurp her, but still "loved" her. That also doesn't make his "stupid", and even if it did it also has no bearing on this match.
