Warlock knew all along that Thanos would lose due to his self doubt. Outside of that...he was able to hide from the gauntlet.

Thanos did not have complete mastery...otherwise Mephisto couldn't have tricked him, Warlock could not have plotted, Eternity could not have hidden..etc. It takes time to adjust to the gauntlet..whether it was Thanos, Nebula, or even Warlock.

Hell, he didn't even know that turning to Eternity would cost him the gauntlet..

I said a long time ago that they were equal in power seeing as both are infinite beings. The difference being ION using his power a lot more wisely.

Kyle proved to be the better "Omnipotent" being over Thanos. It's good to be the "Right hand of God."

If you want canon, consider that the gauntlet was useless against DC characters while OAN power was on point...Ion would curbstomp Thanos.

You got half of this sentence right....they are matched. The rest is rubbish and not needed.

thanos lost to his own self doubt but thats that. thanos has learned from this and doesnt od this anymore. anyways he didnt lose in combat so its a moot point. he would defeat ion as he defeated eternity and all the rest.

how did ion use his power more wisely? did he defeat uber beings all rallying against him? or did he defeat a badass here or there. thanos beat them all at once.

in the discussion at hand both work. dont try this way out like the ig wouldnt work but the oan power would. it fails here.

they are not evenly matched.

1mephisto turned his back on thanos but he kinda knew this all along. it didnt matter anyways. he defeated mephisto and all the others. when all uver beings are battling u at once its hard to predict and react to what is happening all around you. but its a moot point as thanos defeated mephisto with no problem.

2thanos never lost in combat. he would curbstomp ion here.

So he lost due to self doubt...not quite omnipotent then, was he? And he did lose in combat...he turned to eternity, and lost. If Ion turned into eternity...he surely wouldn't have lost his powers. 🙂

Well for one, Kyle didn't grandstand a battle for a emo reason. Let's face it...for all his posturing...Thanos is an emo. Kyle used his power to right wrongs across the universe effortlessly.

Plus, most of the characters that you're acting like they are so uber..have lost to humans, mutants, or cosmics before. Ion could have entropied the whole lot of them, but that's not his style.

Actually, the IG was shown to be ineffective in a canon crossover twice. Oan power was just fine, and even in another non canon crossover, Thanos wanted to basically become parallax/Ion to remake BOTH the MU and DCU.

Your debate fails.

In your opinion...let go of your fanboyism, and embrace the truth.
I loved both IG and TPOI..both are fun storylines with godlike beings and their decisions with said godlike power.

Actually, the canon evidence would show the reverse...but I'm going for a stalemate with a slight edge to Ion due to the way both their minds work and the results of both of their godhoods.

Ok he didnt lose in combat he lost immediately after he overtook eternity. He wasnt engaging anyone at the moment.

Lets face it kyle didnt take on extreme forces like thanos did. He wouldnt have the will or the intelligence to defeat the forces that wanted thanos's ass.

Sounds to me like ions style isnt taking on uber beings and avoiding this. Thanos said the hell with everyone and stop me if you can. Ion doesnt have the combat feats so hes already at a disadvantage here. We know thanos can handle it and then some but with ion its all speculation.

You actually have the nerve to bring up that ridiculous green lantern/silver surfer crossover. Your argument fails in which the oan power is greater than the ig. In this argument the both work so do me a favor and yourself and give it up,please.

I do like thanos but am using evidence and common sense in deciding the outcome of this battle. If i believed thanos and ion had the same exact powers and i dont but if i humored you thanos would still win because he has willpower in spades. Thanos wins this all day.

I give this guy 30 points for continuing to try and deal with quanchi.

I give him another 50 for not puting quanchi on ignore.

correction ion would have never defeated eternity. he wouldnt have faced him for one as he would have went down to the assault prior. all the abstracts and beings laying into ion would have brought him to his knees. his will couldnt take this. hes kyle not thanos.

sounds to me like kyles style is basically avoiding conflict. hes the good guy or course he wouldnt want this. thanos took on all comers and won. he let his guard down after he won is why he lost.

quit bringing up a noncanon ridicuolous crossiver to try to justify ur argument. it fails.

ig has more feats on panel than ion. deal, accept, grow, and learn.

So Kyle, who can defeat Parallax...the guy who creates universes from his fingertips and erased DC, can't beat eternity?

Try again. Thanos lost foolishly and to something fairly simple in the grand cosmic scheme.

If Thanos had won, he would still have the gauntlet today.. he made bad decisions and lost.

Kyle stepped down after he willingly gave up his omnipotent power.

Don't get upset because it doesn't suit your purpose. Those definitely aren't any less credible than your ridiculous theories..and one of them is canon..

It also has more feats on panel than the presence, and TOAA itself. Doesn't mean he wins.

Stalemate with slight edge to ION.

thanos id win in another reality. anyways he cant win for the obvious reasons.

kyle never faced the same opposition. show me the greatest opposition he faced with a scan. so i can laugh and compare it to what thanos faced.

What? That doesn't even make sense.

Once again, Kyle used his power is far wiser ways..and didn't lose in such a ridiculous way.

Everything you've tried has been countered...that was just a mouth frotthing ravenous attempt on your behalf.

One Gem alone (like the Time Gem) can completely Freeze the 616 Timestream:

"Time itself has come to a complete standstill"

"Stole the Time Gem and suspended it's Temporal properties"

.....................................................................................................

But put 4 Gems together and they can Create UniverseS from scratch:

"Each New Wave CREATED another New Reality"

OR

Destroy the Omniverse:

"These Two Gems (Time-Reality) must be reunited,
otherwise ALL REALITIES, including this one, will be destroyed"

.....................................................................................................

Put 5 Gems together and they can own the UN:

"With a Thought, I turn the Universe's most devastating weapon upon it's bearer"

OR

MERGE Two UniverseS in an instant (one being 616)
from a Third Universe separated from both:

"My Takeover of your Actuality,

USING my now missing Cosmic Containment Units,
would have taken Hours to Accomplish"

"Other matters have a higher priority now,
such as MAKING YOUR Universe MINE"

.....................................................................................................

Put 6 Gems together and you become Omnipotent according to Marvel:

Powers:

"Absolute Omnipotence when the Gems are used altogether"

in another universe one in which quasar was travelling thorugh thanos had won there. maelstrom and thanos were just opposition for each other in this universe. thanos did win but not in the mainstream reality.

kyle didnt battle anything like thanos did. really he doesnt have the impressive combat feats at all like thanos.

u just like kyle more. thanos wins here and its utter decimation for ion. he loses to thanos and a superior mind and will.

DS with the Omega can create wave after wave of reality. 😛. Anyway, The Spectre considered ION as his peer. He really only has two others he considers peers. Mxy and The Phantom Stranger. Kinda lets you know that this match is prolly a stalemate.

u said on more than one occasion u gave thanos the majority. u think thanos wins. dont change it up now.

Wow, so in an alternate reality he won. In another alternate reality, SS won. In the main one, Warlock won...etc, etc.

That meant nothing.

Who you like or dislike is inconsequential.

this in the mainstream reality thanos let his guard down. he want engaging anyone at the time and didnt lose in combat. why dont u get this?
