Heroes

I marked Ted as 'dead' on his very first appearance. But the biggest disappointment - and the most anticlimactic death out of them all, as well as the worst Heroes moment ever - was Linderman's fate. I was pissed. The all-influencing-master-schemer taken out like that? Absolute BS.

But as long as HRG continues to live, I will be fine. 😄

HRG?

And what do you think of my point about Peter's powers? Eventually he will become too powerful.

Very true but i guess it explains why his not around in the future, At first i thought there was three deaths in landslide but then saw the trailer to how to stop an exploding man and realised the third person i thought died was in it. Also how strong is Sylars Telekinesis power i mean he flicked over a truck without breaking a sweat so could he do that to a plane or tank or even a building.

Nah i mean you have a point i was thinking excatly the same way but he has a weakness you lob something into his brain and leave it there then his as good as dead. A sniper that is aware of what he can do should be able to take him out e.g dont think before taking the shot and he should be able to kill him.

HRG is claires dad. The sniper thing could work in theory except he would hear the bullet coming and he could easily move out of the way stop the bullet, stop time, or any number of things. Why is peter driving and worrying about traffic. Pick up claire and get flying i mean its not like she will get hurt if you drop her.

I don't know what the deal is with Peter; I suppose we have to credit his apparent lack of godhood to plot device. The writers still have to make Sylar threatening, and if Peter becomes all-powerful, he isn't. In fact, Peter himself says that he don't know if he can stop Sylar, admitting to Claire that the last time they fought: "he killed me". I can only assume it's - as I've said before - Peter's sheer ignorance and lack of control that, from a storyline perspective, prevent him from becoming a virtual god.

Im not counting Linderman out yet, afterall he is a healer so whos to say he doent have a healing factor of his own. Sylar flicking that truck had X-men 3 written all over it, like Magneto did when he broke out Mystique. I was waiting that when Hiro came out of the room time would be standing still. I thougth it was gonna be a rip off of DBZ when Goku and Gohan went into the Time chamber where a year inside the chamber was actually a day outside of it.

Yeah but what if he absorbs more powers? They need to limit his powers in some way.

Tim Kring has said that Peter has all of Sylar's stolen powers and more, but the issue with Peter is that he's a nice guy (he's a nurse for crying out loud) and he lacks control. Sylar seems to spend his free time coming up with creative ways to end lives and likes practicing his power, so...go figure.

Linderman's down for the count; he's not Claire, he doesn't heal himself, he heals others. Well, not any more.

I wonder if Ando will die?

It seems everything that happened in the future has been set in motion to take place so there's a possibility. I am a bit worried they might try and pull of a you cant change the future finale, hopefully they really suprise us with that.

Your right but what if the sniper had a silencer, in fact you don't even need a sniper say a bomb was to go of and shards of glass by coincidence went into peters brain he would be down for the count.

My point is if peter keeps gaining powers then eventually he will have a power to counter anything,

a silencer wouldnt help in the method i was speaking. I didnt mean peter would hear the gun shot. Peter should have the super hearing ability so I imagine he could hear the bullet traveling behind him. But yea something could happen to take out peter, but really eventually he would be so powerful it would almost be impossible to stop him. In the future he seemed to finally understand his abilities and have confidence in himself, as of now he is sort of like a scared/confused kid in puberty trying to understand the changes going on.

According to Tim Kring, Peter has all of Sylar's stolen powers, so super-hearing would be one of them. A silencer wouldn't matter; it seems that enhanced hearing is good enough to hearing the trigger being pulled, from the way Dale described it.

I agree with Forumcrew on his analogy.

My curiosity is whether or not powers can be combined for anything interesting to happen...

No i think they have made an adamant point in providing the brain as a source of weakness for both peter and Claire, although say if he was to encounter someone with a force shield or something like that then yeah he could be unstoppable.

What Peter should do in his next encounter with sylar is to hover up above him and sing anything you can do i can do better i can do anything better than you.

Fair point but to me it seems Kring and co seem to have made the brain thing his kryptonite.

I was kinda thinking the same about Linderman, but it's most likely he's dead.

I also thought the same about Hiro and his sword training, as it's kinda ridiculous to become so good in that short time. I thought he was gonna come out the room and Ando would be like "you've just went in"

Plus Sylar's original power was "Knowing when things are broken and how to fix it." So he likely has remarkable control over his powers because he "fixes" them.

I always took his control of the powers as just sheer determination to be the best. And his powers is knowing how things work and fixing it but the powers arnt broken so how does he fix it?
