So my friend ended our "relationship" a while back, and I was slightly cold to him last time I talked to him. Now I've tried to get a hold of him by everything but calling him, and I would like to talk/see him before he goes to Iraq but I'm afraid of seeming desperate. Should I call? ermm

Sure, call them, why not? You shouldn't be afraid of seeming desperate, you just are concerned. It sounds very reasonable, I mean they are going to Iraq, I think it's perfectly fine.

If you ever need anyone to talk to, you can always talk to me. My dad was sent to Iraq about 2 years ago, and he came back, and I could never really be more thankful, and I know what the sadness is like. I'm always here 😊

I suppose I could explain that I'm just concerned. I just never call anyone, so I have reservations anyway. But I'll do it.
It's troubling. I've never really cared before about someone.
