Keep that thought in mind when reading onwards from where you posted in the "lowest showings" thread... dodgy

On topic: I don't think they'll kill off Chucky, from the looks of things he may be the central character in Carey's new book.

I thought the same thing when I was reading it.

Here are spoilers from a few users who have received their copies early due to subscription, X-Men #207. They're quite reliable seeing how they've done this before and turned out right.

Spoiler:
It starts off with Cable dodging Bishop's gunfire and Predator X. Predator X seems to kill Bishop. Cyclops decides to send the New X-Men into battle (even though Emma doesn't agree). Then switch over to Cable pointing a gun at Cyclops when he asks Cable to turn over the baby. Professor X tells Cable to do as Scott says.

Rogue wakes up to a crying Mystique and Gambit. They argue. back to the fight where thier is a great scene of Pixie taking down Malice. ( good too, cuz I like Megan). Emma faces off against Exodus. Exodus starts coughing and Dust emerges from inside of him ( he seems to be dead).
Back to Cable, Cyclops and the Professor. Cable hands the baby over.
Back to Rogue and Mystique. Rogue asys she's tired of people getting hurt whenever Mystique is around. She takes her glove off and grabs Mystique's face.

Back to the fight wher Logan gets fed up with nothing working against Predator X so he lets it swallow him. Logan busts out of Predator X's stomach killing it.
Back to the baby where Cyclops starts to think about all of the sacrifices he has had to make about his children., and Jean. He gives the baby back to Cable and tells him to teleport away with the baby. Rogue tells Gambit that when the baby touched her it healed Rogue of everybody she has ever touched. That right now it is only Rogue and Mystique in her mind. She says she needs to be alone and tells Gambit not to follow.

As Cable teleports away with the baby Bishop appears and tries to shoot Cable, he misses and shoots Professor X in the head killing him.Cyclops the lets off a major optic blast taking out Bishop. All of the X-Men are standing around his body and Cyclops says " There are no X-Men" then black page.

The book ends with Cable and the baby in the future.

Woah. Those are some relatively bold moves if they do all play out that way.

Yeah, I'm most intrigued with the Mystique thing.

Spoiler:
Is she now the dominant personality in Rogue? I'm also rather annoyed at Exodus being possibly dead.
🙁 And the Bishop thing is just ironic. Now I know how Smurph feels.

I was going to poke fun at that... but I won't now. 😛

But

Spoiler:
I'm somewhat annoyed if Mystique is dead completely, she's always to me been one of the more complex interesting villains, despite not being a particularly uber villain. She could become a dual personality in Rogue like how Carol Danvers was back in the day - and if Rogue's absorbed her shapeshifting powers she could still come in and out of play in form as well. That's a lot of the old guard to kill off in a single crossover though - Sinister, Mystique and Xavier, I'm surprised they didn't off Shaw and Magneto permanently too just to round things out.

Spoiler:
See that's the thing I feel the same way. The spoiler doesn't say whether Rogue was healed of her death touch or just the personalities. Presumably she was healed from that death touch so she's only borrowing Mystiques thoughts and powers temporarily. But on the flip side Mystique being the dominant persona does make the next Wolverine arc make sense.

The arc is called get Mystique. Marvel recently stuck classified in front of the name.

Oh well I think I'm going to join Smurph in the angry letter club.

Well at least they brought him back... he could have just stayed in character limbo... you can take some consolation in that I suppose.

But then this leaves me wondering how the hell X-Men: Legacy works?

Also I'd still much rather have Carey writing the main "continuity" X-Book than Brubaker. Brubaker's X-Men has just been meh so far (I don't care about Vulcan stop trying to pretend he's interesting, Ed) although at least it will look pretty with Mike Choi drawing it.

True, I also just realized that I need to alter my list of

Spoiler:
active telepaths.
Wonder who's number 1... 😖hifty: 😛 Might have to alter it again after Emperor Vulcan.

I'm not really sure about Carey's book, but I heard he's revisiting and resolving hanging X-plots.

Bru's an idiot, and thank God Emma is not one of his main characters. I think he's only staying up to issue #499. AXM SS #1 and UXM 500 fall on the same month.

And rumor has it that a new book called Young X-Men is coming out in April along with the other X-books. It was on the back of some Divided we Stand promo cards.

"Matt Fraction has been rumoured to be the writer. Also apparently Yanick Pannequete (the guy who did Ultimate X-Men) is supposedly working on a 616 X-Book in 2008, from what the editors have said, so he might be the artist. I have also heard that Scottie Young is currently working on a 12 issue project for Marvel, so he might be doing a small run on Young X-Men."

That's the rumor. Here's the first mention of the title:

I have heard nothing but great reviews for this storyline and now I cannot wait to pick up the trade especially if it's true that they killed off my favourite X-man

Spoiler:
Xavier

Read something on another site I agree with.......

If Anole is in Young X-Men he needs a new codename for the same reason they say Asgardian from Young Avengers needs a new codename... too easy. vin

😂 That's two good laughs I had today. Another user posted this, it was the first:

Here's a scan of the X-book list:

Well, I know it's a lizard... but c'mon it's pronounced ah-nol-lee... you barely have to do anything to that... I wonder if it's like a premeditated in-joke.

She has some latent Fourth Wall-breaking precog abilities obviously. 😊

I'm wondering which if any of the noobies will get to graduate into one of the main teams, besides X-23 who's already confirmed.
