Those were his parents graves but the AXM thing is mentioned in the issue.

Normally I don't visit threads about the books I work on, but I definitely wanted to address the whole Kitty Pryde thing. First of all, when I read the script, I was pissed too, because I'm a huge fan of AXM and had no idea what was going on in that book (I'm a trade guy). But when I asked Ed and editorial, they pointed out that that language is intentionally left ambiguous. All that's implied is that Colossus has "lost" Kitty. Keeping in mind that I still have no idea what's going on in AXM, one explanation that hasn't been submitted is that they might have broken up, for whatever reason. It definitely doesn't necessarily mean that we've seen the last of her, comic book resurrections aside
Re: Wolverine... I think my casting of him as more "attractive" or "pretty" comes from the same reasoning behind casting Hugh Jackman in the movies, because this is the main book for the X-Men, and you want to present everyone as "traditionally heroic" to a certain extent. I don't want people to pick up the book expecting something like the movies wondering why Wolverine looked so different. I think the "norm" has gone in that direction a bit... it's something I did agonize over when I was coming up with my own versions of the characters.
Different reason behind why I drew him "pretty" in X-23. There, I didn't think it believable to have the clone of a pretty girl to be a Danny Devito look alike. Trust me, it's something that pencilers (and editors) put a lot of thought behind.
I'm a huge fan of Darick's version of him in his run on Wolverine, but that's because it matched Rucka's version of the gritty, underdog Logan. If I were presented with a similar assignment, odds are I'd draw him in a similar way. Definitely not like Hugh Jackman.
