Seems Alpha Flight is making a comeback, first the twins, Snowbird, Witchfire and now Madison Jeffries...with Hal Jordan hair

Why don't you go post in the Alpha Flight Thr......oh... haermm

Omega Flight got killed, actually lots of people are dead. Pym had a good showing though.

It doesn't say Omega Flight was killed- it just says they were getting skin picked out by locusts. Wolverine and Bucky-Cap got plant spikes shoved through their heads and most of the Young Avengers got turned to stone, but I imagine that they're not killing them off in Mighty Avengers 1.

great issue for pym, imo. dan slott is one of the best pym writers in years.

If there's anyone who can rescue Pym from "wife-beater" and then Bendis-ification and Skrull-iness, it's Dan Slott.

Same applies to the Avengers franchise in general...

I'd agree with that.

..... damn it.

honestly though, i love dan slott. the guy is one of the few marvel writers i have total faith in. he was doing the most excellent job with pym until it was decided pym was a skrull. i'd be surprised if it had been slott's decision, given the work he'd put in to establishing hank as more than just the avenger that beat up his wife.

and bendis hates pym (and his fans), so i choose to blame him.

Yep, I loved how Pym was portrayed, is a good time to like the characters after years of years of him getting the shaft.

Do you think Wanda is Sorcerer Supreme or that this whole conflict is somehow related with that (given that Dark Avengers seems to have a magic related plot too...).

i honestly don't know. i just pity slott waking up every morning realising he has to go in to a room and brainstorm with bendis...

but yeah, wanda looked mighty impressive...

Yeah, running interference against the living embodiment of the Darkhold?

Pretty damn impressive feat.

Although I don't think she's the Sorcerer Supreme. Apparently, Dr. Strange losing that title, the new one, and the good Doctor embarking on getting it back, all starts over in New Avengers 52.

Man, though, it's exciting to have a real Avengers team again. I'm not Bendis' biggest hater, but Mighty Avengers never lived up to its potential, and New Avengers was just Bendis' go-to place for launching storylines that went somewhere else. Having an actual Avengers team, lead by the redeemed and stable Hank Pym sounds pretty damn cool (and plus the line-up has Herc/Cho and Hulk! Sweet!)

i loved the banter between pym and cho... t'was much fun.

and yeah, having at least some form of a proper avengers team is pretty cool...

Yep, funny enough, this team looks more like the actual Avengers team that the one in New Avengers.

tbh, ever since disassembled, i've been unhappy. i was a huge fan of the standard avengers way of doing things, and the way bendis did it will forever be a black mark on his record, imo...

np. i loved peter david's little disclaimer at the start. it was almost like he knew how shocking it would be...

I like the fact that comics can do stuff like that, I cherish to be perplexed in a good way like this. Kudos to the creators.
