He was apparently .. repowered. Just like that. And Joe Quasada confirmed it. No character development (except the one he got from Mike Carey), no 'how does he deal with being a normal human?', no, nothing like that, he just goes 'oh, here's a plot-device' and he's back to normal.
I dislike Uncanny X-Men profoundly, and unfortunatelly the future doesn't look too good.
