A top 10 prospect does not give an horrible game for an huge bowl game like that.

He did have pressure but he wasnt pressure on that first INT which he threw to a guy who was covered by 3 opposing players.

Probably a first rounder because of the NFL lack at talent at QB but not a top 10, and for a guy who said Troy Smith was going to be top pick last year (and Jarrett) why do you think he will be too?

Brohm was the most overrated QB coming into the season and is most likely going to leave the most overrated QB. And I honestly don't believe why Ryan is even in the discussion.

Yes, every prospect has had great bowl games. Absolutely none of them has had bad games. Brennan was definitely the first to make it happen 😕 I'm wondering, was this the first Hawaii game you have seen? It would explain some things if it were true. The one game experts seem to never get it right.

What is sad about all this is that this game is going to make his draft stock plummet, it's a shame but that is how the system works. Doesn't say anything about his skill at the quarterback position though.

The NFL Draft is based on what somebody can do in the NFL and not what they did in college.

There are countless examples of a player doing extremely well stat wise then do complete shit in the NFL. You talk about how he might of been edgy in the pocket because of the pass rush, you dont think that NFL defenses wont rush him at all? If he is that edgy then throw the ball away and not into triple coverage on a sideline route. I'm really surprised it didnt go for 7. Will he do well in the NFL, maybe, maybe not, its hard to tell but I just dont see him getting picked in top 10 this year. I see him falling just like Quinn, and Aaron Rodgers. NFL team's dont really draft somebody like Brennan that early in the draft. But one thing for sure, he isnt the best QB prospect in the draft.

Quinn dropped because the Dolphins foolishly selected Ted Ginn and then after that no teams needed a QB. If a team needs a QB they are going to select a QB.(unless they are like the dolphins).

The fact remains is that the Dolphins did pick Ted Ginn and it's obvious they didnt like Quinn, because they would of picked him if they liked him.

What promise has Brennan shown?

Colt Brennan is one helluva QB. Just because he had a bad game doesn't mean shiite to me. I've him play ever since his game with Hawaii. I look forward to seeing him play on sundays.

Its not just that Brennan had 1 bad game. It is that the first time he got a shot to play a REAL college team on a national stage him and his team got spanked. Yes he has played great in the past, but against TERRIBLE opposition so you cant count on that as much.

I dont really give a shit if he is good or not, or if he plays on Sunday.

I just think he wont get in the top 10 for the NFL draft, and if he doesnt have a great combine, or something similiar, he wont go in the top 32.

Why?

I think that Colt Brennan has the skills and the fortitude to be drafted in the top 10. You and I both know that teams will take a chance and draft a QB in the first round, especially in the top 10. Especially if Brennan has a great combine like so many players do. Look at Darren Mcfadden from Arkansas, he had his SUV scandal, played like crap and will prolly be drafted very high. Back to Colt, all he needs is just a chance to play and show what he can do at the pro level. But who knows really since between now, the combine and the draft in late April, anything can happen.

This morning, on the "ticker" going across the bottom of the morning news, it said something about how the BCS was going to begin meetings regarding a 4-team playoff system. I'm afraid people will jump the gun and embrace this without thinking about how much easier it would be just to tear up the BCS contract and put some fresh ideas into place.

So your for the playoff system?

I was think of an 8 team playoff system using the BCS rankings. Obviously, this is more of an drunk system so it probably wont work.

In the end though, the bowl commeties wont go for an playoff system becaus the bowl system makes too much money. As a sports fan though, its bullshit to have a board of people making decisions on who plays who for thier bowl game. Totally unsporstmanlike.
