Well you have to keep in mind that Saw never happens in sequence,so generally the movies will flashback and flashforward between the events of the present timeline of each film. It's why the notion of the Saw series going all the way up up to a sixth film doesn't sound so farfetched, with each movie you get more and more insight on the whole Saw universe.
Typically critics pan the Saw series for it's style of storytelling, but then we have shows like Lost that get praised for it.So go figure......
Anyway,it seems to me that one of Saw V's main focuses should be Jigsaw's dilemma of choosing either Amanda or Hoffman as his heir. The fifth movie will almost undoubtedly show how Hoffman became a Jigsaw follower in the first place, and reveal just how long Jigsaw and Hoffman have been in cahoots.(my guess is that it goes as far back as Saw II,it would explain how Jigsaw got his hands on so much confidential info)
I'd also like to see Saw V dive a bit more into Amanda.I mean, even though Amanda won Jigsaw's game and got a second chance at life, you can say that Jigsaw might of unwillingly released her homicidal tendencies.Although it would be hard to say whether or not she's a natural born killer,or if her rivalry with Hoffman pushed her over the edge. And then maybe this is why they planned Amanda's test in Saw III.So yeah,I'd really like if Saw V explores this concept.
