This all took place 150 Years in a non-existent Future
where ONLY X-Men exist. 😆
Besides being clueless to what was going on till the very end,
it was Cyclops that inadvertantly created Reality 15104,
by making a decision in 616 to leave the X-Men and Emma 150 Years ago
that allowed this "alternate Possible future" to diverge.
It was also Cyclops that again,
inadvertantly Altered that "possible Future" (Here Comes Tomorrow)
by making the decision to stay with the X-Men.
The only thing Phoenix did was go back in time (150 years)
to Scotts first decision (leaving the X-Men and Emma)
then Phoenix forced changed Scotts mind to stay with Emma & the X-Men.
This Altered the Future of Reality 15104.
So yea, Phoenix manipualted Scott, but power to Diverge and Alter that Reality,
All laid within Scotts decision.

1spectre was getting his ass kicked by cap marvel and barely escaped becuz marvel lost his amp.
2eclipso carried him off into space.
3 spectre admitted he was almost beaten while in space and while in shock.
