Actually they were telling the Enchantress not to give in. Why would Captain Marvel give in when he was utterly kicking the Spectre's ass? To make it even more obvious that they were telling the Enchantress not to give in, they say: "She's about to wig out on us! She warned me about this!" Again, only basic reading comprehension needed.
