That is clear bullshit, man...you say that "my" dog doesn't count for the majority, yet you want to ban and exterminate them all? Then why don't we ban and exterminate ALL dog breeds that have attacked, ever? Why don't we kill off all Pomeranians since two of them killed a little girl a few years back?
I wasn't even aware that the ban invovled "killing" anything. I thought they were just making it illegal to sell them or whatever, or put restrictions on them. That's what they're doing in Britain now, aren't they?
And hey, I'm all for banning ANY animal that may be considered a serious threat. If I had my way I'd say any animal that caused more then maybe one hundred to two hundred+ deaths a year should be banned or at least have restrictions on them.

I can see your point that putting restrictions on something that can be considered a “serious threat” but this is not; it is the misuse of the animal and owners not taking precautions such as training and proper medical such as neutering the dog. Dogs that are still intact are 3 times as likely to have more aggressive behavior as others and males are more likely to bite than females. The same concept could be applied to cars, it is the misuse of the car that lead to more deaths and injuries than all the dog bites combined over the years but we do not ban cars we just fine the owners or put them in jail.
Ditto. Definently. Any person caught training Dogs to attack other people or each other should be jailed immedietly. I back putting certain limitations on dogs (Muzzles in public, maybe.) but animal mistreatment is just wrong. I myself own a Beagel and he was really f*cked up. The SPCA found him on a street coner half-dead with a string of numbers (8888-88-888-888.. then it just trails off. )imprinted on his ear. The poor guy freaks out whenever anybody makes any sudden movement or a loud sound goes off, and he has siezures regularly. So sad.
