Jake stood up and brushed himself off. The news cast had been broadcasted from Central, which meant that there were still survivors outside. "The infection, still yet unknown of how it works, is spreading through out the Northern half of America. The Southern half, is experiencing the initial infection all around in different areas. Alabama, Texas, Florida, Arizona, and, California are either infection free or just now getting affected. More on hour 16." Jacob looked down at the ground. "I'm going to take my chances with central.."

Kat nearly dropped her rifle when she finally spotted Rek. She dropped to her knees beside him and ran her hand over his broken back plate. She tapped her com, speaking to the others. "I've found the Lt... He's alive but unconscious and his back plate is busted. We can't leave him here we'll have to carry him with us. Stay where you are we'll be there soon." She stood and carried Rek over her shoulders. "Dear god I hope he wasn't bitten."

david and carlos ran to kat, "need any help with him."

carrying rek, david and carlos moved towards the others. "come on kat, we gotta get movin'."

Kat blinked and looked up at them, she hadn't even noticed that they took Rek from her. "Oh... Yeah sorry." She picked up her rifle and ran after them, her mind still on all the victims of the disease.... It had even gotten to her home town. 'Mom... Dad... Please be safe.'

"damnit!!", david pulled up his rifle and fired on a zombie hord coming from behind them. "kat, carlos, give us covering fire!!" he grabbed carlos and ran for cover.

Kat turned and opened fire with both her rifles blazing. "Go! Keep going! Don't stop or we'll get trapped!" She turned and ran to catch up, then stopped before opening fire once again.

" moving!" he ran outside and found a jeep, " i think we can use this, Get in!"laying rek down in the back, david started the engine.

Jacob made his way past the jeep, throwing a piece of paper inside. When they had the chance to read it would say. 'Heading to central. going to round up any survivors. I will check in later to zero in on your location.' Jacob flashed a peace sign as he kept running.

"come on kat." carlos climbed in the back with rek and checked to see if he was ok.

Kat jumped in the back and opened fire again. "Go! Go now! Jacob?!" She turned and watched Jacob go. "Be safe! Hurry back!" She knelt down and kept a steady stream of bullets going.

the engines roared as the jeep went roaring out of the city"brace yourselves!" the jeep flew into the air as he ramped it off a peice of concrete'WOOHOO!"

She cried out and fell onto her back as the jeep landed. "Good God in heaven don't you think we have enough people injured back here? Where did you learn to drive?"

"just needed to lose the zombies, oh and i learned when i joined." he turned around to watch the road." why don't you call for a helicopter to pick us up!"

She sat down and replaced her empty cartridges. "And who do you think would respond? A smart Zombie? Besides, Jacob told us to wait for him. We need to get to base and get Rek fixed up."
