While reading this chapter I almost forgot about Miria's plan.

Well I think Miria was the first to point out just how much potential Clare had. Deneve is just the first person to realize how much Clare grew over the years.

And Clare can definitely go further, I feel.

Interesting tidbit that her quicksword is apparently still not as good as Irene's, but her anti-awakened technique, and what she learned from Rafaela means she's certainly overall stronger.

Well Happy New Year to me early since a new Claymore chapter is out

Spoiler:
Raki doesn't get any medical treatment and Miria's plan appears to work until of course Priscilla decided to say that it doesn't. What funny is that the plan seems to be working flawlessly up until that point, heck Miria's even able to get a hit in. Clare finds her spark again and saves Miria from being another one of Priscilla's victims...for now.

I'm growing tired of Claymore because Yagi is doing the same thing Kubo does:

"AHA! I wasn't defeated like you thought!

AHA! I had another trick!

AHA! I wasn't down from your trick!

AHA! I had my own trick!

AHA! I was faking being tired!

AHA! I wasn't as weak as you thought!"

What it amounts to is an old and tired tactic that Mangakas use to draw out their series to force more purchases. I hate it.

Yeah it does look like Yagi's stalling but for what reason would he do that. I mean he still has material to use and other giant monsters for the Claymore's to fight. Also I want to point out the one thing that Priscilla is lacking that would make her an otherwise awesome villain...a motive. Seriously now that she has her memories back and is fed, what's her plan now: go all preying mantis on boys again?

Here's the thing about Prissy as opposed to Kubo's though- it's not like her powering through that is a 'reveal,' it's a "we know from the start her regen is crazy and you cannot wear her down like that. But, the heroes are picking up her strengths and weaknesses from the attempts.

Anyway, new chapter out! And dat end!

Spoiler:
Tabitha's gambit is good, but Raki's basically is the ultimate form. He has no yoki presence and Priscilla has a history of mental blocks! And now she's actually vulnerable!

So it was Raki of all people that got the drop on her.I thought Tabitha getting sliced up was funny in a sense that it was another example of Priscilla saying "No" to an otherwise sound strategy.

I will give Yagi points for not having Priscilla go all Aizen on the group yet. Sure there on the defensive but they haven't been wtf pwned yet.

Yea. Priscilla just *tried* to pwn them in response to their clever strategy... and got a stab for the trouble!

And Isley's advice to Raki was really, really sound. "Even if she's holding back, no matter how good you get, you can't win, you can't even touch her, period. But once you lose, that's your shot."

Poor Tabitha, lol.

That's a good observation. I could not figure out what was meant by that until reading you post. I must have read a bad translation.

So Isley's advice for beating Priscilla is given more detail in this chapter in that its pretty much

Spoiler:
Raki need to hit the Juice
But all jokes aside it was a damn good strategy on his part.

Oh and

Spoiler:
Tabitha died. I guess I was supposed to be sad but in comparison to Clarice and Jean's deaths this was just kind of "meh". And unsurprisingly Priscilla still manages to say "no" to a sound strategy and live by using Cassandra...which we probably could've guessed.

Spoiler:
And though she's not out, she's badly wounded for the first time ever

Kind of lame.

Spoiler:
She should have died and this shit should have finally been over with. We need to move on to the other arc where they reorganize the warriors and take shit to the "mainland" where the real war is being waged. We still have yet to get all the secrets and reveals regarding the original race of sentient creatures that are the origin of EVERYTHING in this manga. Likely, there are creatures among them that make the abyssal ones seem weak.

I'm more surprised that

Spoiler:
this chapter implies that Priscilla can survive headshots. So does that mean it takes an actual decapitation to kill Priscilla.

Alrighty then Priscilla,

Spoiler:
so Priscilla has completely assimilated Cassandra's power in order to save herself and is also on bloodlust mode, casually oneshotting the two remaining awakened warriors and adding them to her "collection?", Oh and Raki uses himself as bait so Clare wouldn't be blindsided, speaking of Clare is she really activating Teresa's power or what?

I have waited ...what? 100+ chapters for Claire to FINALLY inherit Teresa's true power.

I gotta agree with dadudemon on this. I got into Claymore once upon a time, but I kinda just dropped it because it got so repetitive and predictable.

OOo snap, not looking good for Prissy 🙂

And while Pris is assimilating people, she's also taking lots of damage. She's not the invincible presence she was.

Priscilla not being invincible is good right?

Also I really hope Clare's power is what I think it is and not some cheesy symbolic imagery.

Did

Spoiler:
Teresa just take over Clare's body or is it just that Clare's going to fight in her image? Also didn't want Octavia and Chronos to go down like that. 🙁

Spoiler:
She has awakened Teresa's power, but I do not think she's actually taken over her body... or at least, not in a permanent sense. I bet it'll be like with Rafa's merging with her.

And yea, poor poor human-eating awakened monsters...
