I'd be okay with this. 🙂
Also, I want a "main continent" manga!
He could do it like The Breaker: literally retire form doing the manga and have a new artist and story writer pick it up. So, it could count as a true "finale" but still pick up with a different team. I'm okay with that, too.
I'm also okay with this manga retiring after all the characters get their happy endings. This is how it should have ended. It was a fun ride. ****, I think this was handled better than Naruto. Additionally, even the story and characters are more enjoyable than Naruto.

Well, it's over! Thoughts?
I have a few questions for you because you seem to understand some of the convoluted stuff...

What is Clare talking about? Irene? Is Irene the sole-survivor she referenced?
Also, Clare mentioned returning her arm to Irene. But Irene has an arm or arms, now. What's up with that? Did she regen an arm? What am I missing?
Edit - As far as what I thought of the ending, when Theresa dropped to her knees and Clare ran to her like a kid, I got a little misty eyed. 🙂 I love endings like that. I am a sap for wrapping up a story, properly. This story was wrapped up properly. The author finished the job. Didn't rely on ambiguous endings like lazy authors do.
But, the door is still open for "main continent" stories. 🙂
I have a feeling he will come back and beg for help from the Claymores.
I liked the ending though I would have preferred to see Miata and the other warriors one last time.
While left open for future storylines, the main story was told in full which I liked. It was certainly more complete than HSDK's ending.
Now when is somebody going to reboot the anime or at least makes some OVA, c'mon
I too would've liked to see more Miata, but maybe she's being set up for a possible sequel hook. Even if there is another, Clare won't be the main again.

Interesting how the Super Teresa there at the end isn't so much the original Teresa's strength, but Clare's idolized view of it.

Yes, Irene, and I guess Irene did regen an arm. It should only be human level, but.,..

'Xactly.
It does strike me that, from the dragonkin's POV, this was a smashing success. The awakened project has been crushed, and even an attempt to re-start it couldn't do so on the same lands.
I have a feeling he will come back and beg for help from the Claymores.
Would be interesting. The only way I'd see it happening is if the Organization's side had other projects elsewhere.
From what we known, sans awakened project, victory for the Dragonkin should be fairly inevitable.
