Respect Ryu!!!

in america SNK doesn't have that much scope. that's all. about the only reason why Ryu seems to you as an icon. in the east KoF has always reinged supreme and i can tell you this based on three facts:
-i have lived in four different countries in the middle east and the east.
-i've moved in those countries to various cities
-and i've been obsessed with fighting games since i was 7.

presumably, you've only lived in the states (shows too, ignorant snot! 😠 ) so you don't know much beyond. KoF is prevalent in the arcades and in the places where you buy cds for PS2. all the people who are into fighting games also prefer KoF.

SF is actually more popular than KOF world wide...

Friends of mine who came to America from Mexico have never even played KOF before and my cousin who is a chef for the troops in Iraq is always tellin me about how he's gonna whoop my as in SF IV and Tekken 6 when he gets home. People over there don't even know what KOF is. And last I checked, Jackie Chan was spoofin SF characters in an Asian movie, not SNK guys.

And all that really matters is that SF is more popular I'm America cuz America is like the coolest country on the face of the planet...maybe even the universe. 😄

From my experience, SNK does not seem to have the solid fanbase here in the states as in other country's... especially Japan. I have to(and royally hate)to agree that SF does seem to be more known here and Ryu does seem to be more well know outside of "the hardcore" group....it sucks.

yeah i guess so. me i've lived in saudi arabia, pakistan, united arab emirates, bahrain and i've been to qatar. almost any guy who knows a thing or two about fighting games prefers KoF to SF.
so maybe its the whole famous versus popular debate again.
