In what way would it be naughty to handle a taser gun?
Anyway.
This very subject came up again today for the second time in our Criminal Justice Lecture.
2 other incidences came up as well. One concerning a cop tasering a woman 7 times and another concerning a cop tasering a guy who had his baby in his arms and was trying to take the baby away from the mother.
Both the father and the baby got tased.
The last incident I know was caught on video and one student was saying how the cop got off scotch free b/c he just got temporary leave without pay and should be in court and stuff ahora mismo.
Some were saying how he should be punished more and the teacher was saying that just b/c he's a cop doesn't mean that he shouldn't get to go through the "due process" that everybody else gets to go through, even if it is on tape.
He said we didn't know the whole story. Said the person tased could have just went upside the officer's head with a bat or something and that possibly didn't get caught on video.
He said he was defending the cops actions but the cop deserves just as much of a chance as a common citizen.
One student suggested that since the Cop is in such a high position and has so much responsibility and should know the ends and outs concerning this sort of thing, he should be held more accountable than a common citizen.
The point of this is: He waisted so much time going off on these tangents with these students that he ended up rushing through the class notes for today, which covered a whole other topic which had nothing to do with what he was wasting time talking about with these foolish students who took us off topic in the first place.

I don't agree with it because the government is composed of people.
If I can't go around tazering people because they're assholes, then they neither can they.
I mean, they could, but then, I could kill an officer if I wanted too. It probably wouldn't be right, or legal, or sensible.. but I could.
I see no moral differance between a cop tazering the schizoid college boy or someone randomly tazering him. Violance is a form of self defense to preserve your life.
Other then that it's just being a bully. Nobody likes a bully. Nobody has to tolerate a bully.

BTW: Watching the actual footage makes me feel sick - and happy that I don't live in the States.
At least this cop didnt use his taser.... 😂
