He didn't look scrawny, but all of those cops were more than enough for a guy twice his size.

Quoted for truth..or the new one people are saying now days...QFMFT. (Quoted for mother f**king truth.)

No, he resisted removal from the building and then arrest; I saw him struggling when they tried to cuff him. THAT is why they tased him, not because they wanted to prevent injury as RJ implies. (Holy shit...I have no idea if I got my punctuation right on that last sentence!)

We have enough idiot threads in here about "if he was black", such and such WOULD have happened. We don't need to bring "what ifs" and skin color into this one.

"Scrawny" is subjective, I guess... He definitely didn't look like a seasoned fighter though, and as pointed out, the cops had more than a mere advantage.

Do you blame him? He has a right to speak, which is Constitutionally protected. Again, tasers are non lethal protection for the officers, there to be used when an officer is in danger and doesn't have to use a deadly weapon to protect him or herself. The cops were not an any danger.

People have brought up, "he moved towards Kerry" and "he was struggling/resisting when he was up"... in that case, why not taser him then and there when he was more of a threat to someone and they didn't know what he could do? Why wait to taser when he on his stomach, surrounded and pinned?

I wondered that too, why they waited so long.

That should tell you something about those particular officers; how "threatened" they actually felt.

One day you will wake up and see that racism still exists, especially among law enforcement. Live in the ghetto for a while and then get back to me on that...or do you prefer the candy coated world where all you hear is "idiots" complaining about racism? But, to each his own and if you do not want to talk about racism and its impact in law enforcement, simply skim over those posts and don't reply to them to prevent the furthering of that conversation.

I have stated something similar to this:

"Okay, the little shit should have gotten his ass tackled and cuffed the moment he resisted removal."

Now that you mention it, a tasering at that moment would have been more acceptable(but still not completely justifiable, IMO.)...at the moment when I saw him jerk his arms away from those police.

That's a mighty assumption... when did I say "racism doesn't exist"? I said, 'there is no point in bringing racism/race into this thread.'

What is the point of saying "if he was black they would have shot him instead of tasering him" (or similar)? What will that do for this thread. Do you think it's releveant saying something like that in this thread. Make a case for it, I'll listen.

I agree, which is one point that makes me think, the 'tasering' was unjustified.

Whatever dude.

However, I do also think that if the same thing happened to an African American, it would have been made a much much bigger deal because that is "how it rolls" in America.

If it would have been a "barely able to speak English" Latino, we wouldn't have even heard about this...sadly, because that's America.

Racism in our topics? Sure...

true, it could be that, or maybe they felt that they could defuse the situation without resorting to that.

I laughed when the kid got taserd. I was cheering with the students as he was dragged away from the mike. What an arrogant self-absorbed ass. He deserved every bit of it.

Is it goin down ✅

BEWARE Americans.

Excessive force has "Crossed Over".

Officer=Overseer

They let him ramble, but as soon as he got to the "Skull & Bones",
The kid got bumrushed.

There were a TON of things they could have done.

How about, instead of letting him go at the door, you take him all the way out?

Or, how about instead of grabbing him like that (MILISECONDS after the Mic was cut), you escort him out or have the MC ask him to leave?

OR they could have let Kerry answer the qeustion.

Then kick him out.

The whole time I was like [smile] msn-oh[/smile]

wait fellas wait,

He's White

I have an idea....why dont we just let anyone do whatever they want, with no repricussion? sounds like anarchy to me.
