Ridley; unlike half of the video games villains he doesn't toy around. He goes straight for the kill.

That wasn't a prototype Silver. IGN.com shows that. And by the way according to many Nazo was just a codeword and it even suggested that Hyper Sonic would have made an appearence in Sonic X or possibly a fusion of Sonic and Shadow but what the picture shows is never made clear. Many have called in Nazo because that's what the picture file's name was.

But Ridley doesn't waste time getting to the fight.

Never said he did, and yes Nazo is just the file name, which is Japanese for mysterious, and yes it was a prototype for Silver it has been proved, anyway this is Ridley's thread so shall we get back to him...

And I was agreeing with you about Ridley not wasting time; should have been more clear on that. Question is Omega-Ridley stronger then Ridley-X (from Fusion)?

Oh and Nintendo is making a new side-scrolling Metroid game for the DS set after Fusion! Hopefully Ridley returns!

And I have to agree about Ridley not being the "time wasting" type as well. 😛 It's probably one of the things I like about him most as a character. Not over-confident or anything...

Either way, I concur that Ridley should return in whatever game that takes place after Fusion.

It was said it was cancelled but Nintendo has since said it never was.

There are so may Ridley's, and did he not die once?

Metroid Fusion is the last game in the serious thus far. The Metroid prime serious takes place between Metroid NES and Metroid II: Return of Samus.

Is Mother Brain dead?
and what happened to.. well the Metroid series has confused me, was it not said that Ridley died, and what happened to Mother brain/ the Metroid race.

Mother Brain was killed in Super Metroid. Ridley was revived by Pirate tech as Meta-Ridley and we see his coprse in Metroid Fusion revived by the X-Parasite to become even stronger.

And the Metroid race is dead. yes I looked over, Man when I had these games not the New ones but the ones up to SM; I also had a gameboy one they were good but, Plot never was a big issue and some of them I never had the mannual for so I never understood what was going on.

I don't think all the Metroids are dead. Samus encountered Omega Metroid at the end of Fusion so we know a few must still roam about.

Well you forget that the Space Pirates basically helped spread Metroids across the galaxy in the Metroid Prime series so many were not on SR-388.
