After escaping the Pillar of Autumn Master Chief's escape pod crash lands on Halo. He is the only survivor and just as he wakes up a Covenant recon troop arrives at the scene.

Master Chief finds and deactivates a covenant bomb meant to destroy the space station. The Chief asks the commander for permission to give the Covenant back their bomb. He does it with grand style as he avoids firefights in outerspace and even manages to direct his way inside the core of a Covenant ship. It detonates and the Chief makes his way to Miranda Key's ship. Yep...the Chief is too much.

I love how Chief's underrated.

The UNSC awards Master Chief for his actions during Halo: Combat Evolved. Funny thing is John has already received any medal, ribbon & award they can give him. The ceremony is interrupted by the Covenant and the commander asks the Chief to defend the station. John nods and simply asks for a weapon.

Halo: CE ending. After making the Pillar of Autumn enter self-destruct manually(he had to shoot rockets and grenades into the ship's core) he rides a warthog on his way out. The result is the destruction of Halo, the Flood and the eradication of an entire covenant armada--the one the Arbiter originally commanded. 131
