My goldfish commited suicide...

So I got home and was kneeling down infront of the fish tank to get the goldfish food to I could feed my fish. Right, so, I'm unscrewing the lid, and one of my fish, Mr. Hyde, starts going crazy and swimming around all weird and crazy like, so I watch him of course. He goes down to the bottom of the tank, and just swims toward the surface like dolphins do when they want to jump or whatever. So Mr. Hyde jumps out of the water, and he's close enough to the side of the tank that he jumps over the edge and lands on the carpet! So I start freaking out, I'm like, "OMG MR. HYDE WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST DO OMG!" So I pick it him and put him back in the water, and he just find of flops on his side for a while, and then he just quits moving...I guess he like broke his bones when he hit the floor...so yeah, I had a nice funeral for Mr. Hyde...then I flushed him down the toilet...

food for the rats?

Sorry to hear about your fishy, though goldfish bones wouldn't break like that, they are too soft. He might have damaged his gills though and suffocated 🙁

Yeah, most likely...

And that sucks. Shiek (my fishy) likes to hop out of the water, but he's a betta so he has to to get air. He hasn't tried to leap out of the tank yet.

ermm Yeah, I have bad luck with fish I think. I started out with 14...and now I have 6...and I might have had the tank for 3 weeks, though Mr. Hyde is the frist one to commit suicide...the others just stopped eating and starved themselves...and then extra food would sink to the bottom and make my water all cloudy and gross.

It woulda been epic if the fish said "HASTA LA VISTA BABY" as he was falling

How big is the tank?

Goldfish need a hell of a lot more room than most people think. Chances are your tank is far too overcrowded for the fish.
