Emma Frost v.s. Storm

I find it very funny that Emma beats Mags 10/10 but loses to Storm 10/10.

Storm has amore expansive powerset.

No my fault magnetism doesn't work on diamond

Wait are you saying that Storm is more powerful than Magneto or Emma?

Yes, he is. And everyone and his brother has debated him on it. Don't try. You'll end up wanting to bang your head into a wall.

Anyway, 2damn has a point (in this thread, at least). Storm is telepathically resistant like no one I've seen (outside other telepaths). Having negated that, her power set is more robust than Emma's. Storm for a solid majority.

well the day I see Storm owning Magneto the way he has owned her is the day I either quit reading comics or the day the world ends. By what feats against Magneto can you use that puts her over when he has stopped her like every single time? Her being able to resist Emma is debatable. Emma has effected a lot of telepaths with X being one of them.

Storm IS more powerful than Magneto.

She is under utilized because of said power and the fact that she is on a team.

Just recently, in her mini, she has stated to have complete control over somone's respitory system.

God only know what else she can do.

Let's see if I can be of some influence on her showings in the 3rd installment of Worlds Apart.

And Magneto can control the iron in your blood. I've seen Magneto stick out his hand and absorb her lightning. I've seen Magneto cancel out her storms and quell storms that she lost control of.

If anyone is underutilized then it is Magneto. It was stated by X and some other chick I think that Magneto is a stupidly overpowered mutant that could pretty much do anything but the only thing that is stopping him from really ****ing up the world and the people is his own ethic morals and fear of becoming a mutant nazi. Well it wasn't spoken verbatim.

X even said that he arguabaly has the best power on earth, well mutant power.

Not that well if you look at that. Telepathy isn't a homogenous power- under the label of "telepathy" you have vast spectre of abilities.

The common wording of "telepathic resistance" is referred to the resistance against such mundane stuff as mind control and mind reading. Storm's resistance is as well... note, than in 2 of 3 Emma\Storm encounters the tactic of mind blast\shutting down nervous system worked.

Emma is noted and known for using unorthodoxal methods of telepathic combat, those than go beyond mind control\mind reading (stuff you can shield against with static electricity in your brain and willpower).

In fact, telepathy has multiple applications, and being resistant to a few forms of it doesn't make you resistant to it in general.

No one claimed that Storm was resistant to all forms of telepathy. Well, maybe 2damnloud will . . . the fact still remains that Storm has shown resistance to more than one form of TP and thus limits Emma's options. By your own admission, some of Emma's tactics have not worked on Storm, showing that there is an area of uncertainty as to how certain assaults will work on her.

Emma still has other forms of TP that she can use against Storm, which is why I agree that Emma can take some wins. I still stand behind the statement that, overall, Storm is more powerful and will win a majority, however.

The only thing that doesn't work on Storm period is mind control. Mind blasts worked just fine. In 2 of 3 encounters Emma used mind blast as starting attack and won\got upper hand until PIS stepped into and Ems decided to play with her food a bit and use mind control- which Storm is INCREDIBLY resistant to.

But in the cases Emma used mind blasts, she won, and easily. And that were (ironically) 2 out of 3 fights (the 1st one was when Emma captured Storm for Hellfire Club, and the 2nd is in X-Treme X-Men- Emma used mind blast to knock Storm down but then desided to play with her food for the sake of PIS and tried to use mind control\behavioral modification on Storm, and that's (ironically) is what Storm immune to, thus the fight resulted in stalemate (though that one time it was "heroes stalemate each other after accidential catfight" stuff)).

If Emma would use the full of her cunning and versatility in the telepathy sector, she would certainly take the majority of wins, imo.
As already stated, Storm is almost impossible to dominate, but there are other methods like a serious Mind Blast (although pretty crude), psychosurgical means like interrupting the datastream between eyes and visual cortex or between limbs and motorical cortex, astral stunts like pulling Storm to the astral plane and leaving her there, or communicational/illusionary tricks like distracting her with random and massive telepathic projections ...

I want to see how World's Apart is going to play out. I have a feeling Storm's going to be using tech to battle the Shadow King.

http://www.brokenfrontier.com/lowdown/details.php?id=1550

"Our old friend, the SHADOW KING. The bottom line is that Storm CANNOT beat him. It’s impossible. He can take her over any time he wants to. There’s no Xavier, no Frost, no Psylocke around to help.

Storm is completely and utterly in unwinnable trouble."

Funny, wannabe's Astral Plane suggestion never ever crossed my mind. She's completely helpless on the Astral Plane, SK's done this to her twice and she was completely helpless both times and again during the Inferno against Mr. Sinister.

My KMC White Queen has spoken. Any and all opposing comments means nothing now. Emma wins.

She never won on panel, so I don't know HOW she "wins".

Storm kills her.

She can shatter her, blast her with billions of volts, smoother her, cause lungs to explode, flash freeze her, toxic atmospheric concoctions, radiation etc etc.

Diamond form matters not with regard to any of these techniques.

Yeah that would work if Storm was a cold blooded killer but she isn't. Storm isn't some bloodlusted murderer so she wouldn't try to kill her. Your examples of her winning are useless since you are making her go out of character.

In which case, Storm STILL pwns her.
