Brainiac 13 threw the fear of Earth's entire population into Superman's mind. Clark broke free within a panel. (Superman: Endgame)

Despero had taken control of most of the JLA including Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, and Batman - simultaneously - but could not take Superman at all. (JLA, I think from the Crisis of Conscience arc)

Union was the sum of billions of beings' mental strengths. He attacked Superman and Superman shrugged off his attack within a few panels and then beat down Union. (Superman in exile)

While in Hell, Neron attacked Superman's mind; Superman overcame it within a few panels. (Day of Judgment)

Superman threw the Martian Manhunter out of his head in Superman: King of the World

Mere contact with Superman's mind sends J'onn for a loop in Superman: Where is Thy Sting

J'onn states that his telepathy can not detect Superman if Superman does not allow himself to be detected.

Manchester Black, a telepath so strong that not even J'onn could overcome the protection Black placed around Lex Luthor, had Superman believe that Lois was dead and that Superman had killed Black. Superman saw through the ruse and overcame Black's telepathic illusions. (Ending Battle)

Superman is attacked by the telepath of the Fatal Five. He resists her attack, pushing it back on her and taking her out.

Superman allows Eclipso into his head and then forces Eclipso out, just to see if he is strong enough mentally to do so. He then explains that, over the years, he has built up "a resistance to telepathy."

Will that do for now?

I actually wanted scans, but I'll look for them myself. 😬

All that and not even a "Thanks."

Damn.

Lol, thanks. 😗

No problem. :-D.

I try to like Superman, but with the way he is written it's so hard to. They already give him a bunch of powers, then they try to take away his weaknesses. Pretty soon he'll be completely immune to everything.

And everyone here will rejoice.
We'll see Superman vs. Hulk, Thor, Gladiator and Jesus. And Clark will still win.
Oh wait, that's how it already is.

Good examples. Then along comes someone like Faith who took over Superman's mind totally and completely, within seconds, yet couldn't control GL John because of his strong will. Weird.

Are you referring to the empath character, Lyla, from Kandor? If not, then Lyla also managed to completely screw with Superman's mind in 'Godfall.'

IMO d sentry does not have d feats to prove dat he can actually beat supes. Admittedly the terrax feat was good and so was the cosmic cube one plus his showing in WWH. but that is not to be compared to supes feats for over 30 years. Now im not a person who thinks dat just cuz a character is featured more prominently than the other and has more feats he is superior. In fact if the sentrys power lvl had actually been described by a credible character as being above supes then i would say that he could do it. Howver spidermans vague reference to an off panel galctus fight really does not cut it as he did
not provide any of the necessary and essential details needed for anyone to make a logical inference regarding sentrys power lvl.

That being said IMO the sentry has a superior powerset to superman but the problem i have is the lvl which he is at regarding his particular power and that is where the feats are needed. SO until the sentry gets more feats id say dat he goes down 6-7/10 against superman

No this was the one introduced in the Tenth Circle story starting JLA #94. Supes also gets mind controlled by a vampire in this story. In fact he spends most of the 7 issue arc stand around mind controlled and looking a bit stupid. It was a pretty bad story IIRC.

Your one example is meaningless when put up against so many contradictory ones. GLs are extremely resistant to mind control, by the way, so I'm not sure where you're going with that.

Superman ftw.

We can add Dominus, Eradicator, and Maxima to that list.

That's why I said it was weird and a pretty bad story as well. It just stuck out a lot because Superman spent most of a 7 issue arc standing around under mind control - he was only free in the first part of the first issue and the last part of the last issue.

Didn't you hear? When it comes to Superman, one low showing is worth twelve high. 🙄

For the moment Sentry has a more powerful mind, his resistances to Psi powers for instance dwarves Supermans (Max Lord).

Please list the instances where the Sentry resisted/managed to fight off any psi-powers.

I'll start...

1.) Sentry got mind f*cked six ways to Sunday by Mastermind...

That's the only encounter I can recall where Sentry comes across a Psi-Attack...

1. Superman is made Eclipsos Puppet/Muppet over six times, and a couple of those times he was completely under Eclipsos control.

2. Despero makes Superman into his slave as well.

3. Max Lord took complete control over Superman, it may have taken time but the fact remains. Superman can be controlled.

.....................................................................................................

Here's a couple of things about The Sentry that so many people discount, and many should wait before stating that Sentry is weak.

1. As revealed in The Mighty Avengers issue 6. The Sentry appears to be able to bring the dead back to life under extreme emotional distress. After Ultron/Tony Stark murdered his wife, Sentry was able to resuscitate her by simply touching her. It does not appear he has control over this power, as he was shocked by his ability to do such an act.

***** NOTE************************************************
Sentry displayed reality manip. in bringing his wife back to life.
......................................................................................................

2. The Sentry's powers derive from a serum that moves his molecules an instant ahead of the current timeline. (Meanin in a non PIS fight he should always be a step ahead of Superman).

------------- Repressed Mental Abilities.......................................

During the course of his investigation, Reynolds and Reed Richards discover what had happened: as the Void had threatened the Earth, the heroes learned that the Sentry and the Void were two halves of the same person, and in order to save the world, Robert Reynolds erased his memory from the mind of nearly every person on Earth. As the heroes stand along the United States' East Coast, united against the coming Void, Reynolds realizes that he must make the sacrifice again, and with the help of his mechanical servant C.L.O.C., Richards, and Dr. Strange, Reynolds erases the Sentry from the world's memories once more.

***NOTE*****

It says with the help of Richards, and Strange.... this means that within time Bob Reynolds will learn to control his powers. He is in an embrionic state at the moment. He will become more powerful as time moves forward making it very possible that he could have matched Galactus in his past before he lost his memory.
