For the record, I do a bit of mixed martial arts on the side, and really enjoy brazilian jiu jitsu. I can put my 'betters' on their asses and put a knife to their throat(especially if I surprise them) - doesn't mean they wouldn't beat me in a straight up fight.
Saying that that 'fight' is evidence of Wolverine being far and away more skilled than Shang Chi is like saying that the Punisher pulling a gun on Winter Soldier is evidence that he's more skilled than Bucky.

ugg I did not mean it like that. I ment it in the sense it was a feat of skill.
what punisher did was quite a bit different. punisher was getting pwned and pulled a gun. Logan dropped shang-chi to a position that made him helpless.
So it not the same.
also it does not prove Logan is way beyond shang-chi, but it shows he was better in the fight and showing why he a top tier.
It was never ment to prove he was way beyond shang-chi or even beyond him for that matter.
It was to prove he beyond slade.

Oh, most certainly - I know that Wolverine is a top tier martial artist.
Just saying that I don't think he's necessarily on a level beyond Shang Chi. I think he used a great stratagem, and also took advantage of Shang's surprise in a very effective way.
It's just when I hear things like "Wolverine is the best fighter in the Marvel Universe! He stomped Shang Chi in four panels on skill alone!" it becomes a wee bit tiresome.
