I just watched her opening monologue from the recent MTV Music Awards, and it was actually painful to watch. It literally caused me mental and physical pain to hear her try to be funny by mocking Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and whoever else is tabloid fodder these days. I'd almost rather listen to Dane Cook than her. ALMOST.
Anyone else care to contribute?
If you judge her by the way she's catering to the MTV audience rather than an area where she has infinitely more freedom, then that's your problem. This is a generation who do find Dane Cook funny.
It's just one of those common opinions that everyone feels they have to agree with; Sarah Silverman isn't funny.
Sarah Silverman is actually a smart female, she's just not for everyone. People said the same as Bill Hicks as you are saying about Sarah Silverman, simply because he wasn't for everyone and saying shit to people that the public loved.
Of course, whoever you find funny is subjective, but this assumed fact that she isn't is retarded.
Also, it didn't cause you LITERAL mental and physical pain did it? Watching her comedy routine did not cause you pain, literally. It may have been hard to endure (Which begs the question; why watch it?), but to say it LITERALLY caused you pain means you were in pain. I doubt you were.

Please don't **** up the thread
Because it's an utterly ridiculous claim and he cited her comedy as a reason.
