Well, if anyone being a possible offline murderer, who could stab you and kill you instantly if they wanted, isn't enough to stop you going out, I ask this;
Why is someone being a possible ONLINE paedophile, who couldn't harm you at all unless you met up with them, a reason to not make friends with anybody online?

This statement is very narrow minded. I think it would be more fair to state that ANYBODY in GENERAL could be a pedophile. What if you get personal with someone you've met in real life and they turn out to be a pedophile? A rapist? A murderous psychopath? Your logic is twisted. Not getting involved with someone online just because they might be a pedophile is insanity. You'd face the same risk in real life, in my opinion. The only difference? The entity who was the pedophile would have to do a larger job or hiding his tendencies in real life. Really now.
