Just when your failure was at an all-time low, you had to say something chock-full of stupid. AIDS is a consequence of sexual activity, not a judgment by God. Additionally, why don't you get your head out of your ass and learn a bit about the terms?

There have been a number of anecdotal accounts of individuals becoming HIV negative after receiving a positive diagnosis, although very few have been officially documented, and none have ever been definitively proven to be a true case of a spontaneous cure.

However, in February 2005, scientists at the 12th Conference on Retroviruses & Opportunistic Infections in Boston presented the case of a man who was diagnosed HIV positive in 1995 by two separate sets of antibody tests, and who had a detectable viral load. 15

Two years after diagnosis, the man was discovered to have a very high viral load, and he began taking antiretroviral therapy. Following three years of treatment he was again tested for HIV antibodies and the result was negative. Over the next four years, during which he took no antiretroviral drugs, the man remained antibody negative. Scientists were also unable to detect any viral load or to culture the virus from his blood or semen.

The explanation for this man's reversion is still unclear, but some experts say it may have been an effect of the antiretroviral therapy he was taking. Seroreversion has also been documented in a few people who take antiretroviral treatment during acute initial stages of HIV infection 16. However, as Mr Stimpson was not taking any form of HIV therapy, his case remains unique.

The man in question was never HIV-positive. His exposure to HIV caused an immune response that yielded a false-negative result on an HIV test. Accept that he is not the key to curing HIV.

Still changing absolutely nothing that has already been said in reply to you, SoD. Overwhelmingly, misdiagnosis is much more likely than miracle cure.

And no matter how absurd you think seeking HIV is, it's been known to happen- Stephen Fry came across the phenomenon in his recent series about AIDS in the modern day.
