actaully capt shield is a mix of vibranium and another unknown metal. It became a sort of hybrid that was many times more durable then oure vibranium

1) a major character's assumption is more than no evidence, granted it is rock solid proof

2) bad analogy. if splicer was someone who could morph his blades, perhaps your analogy would be more apt. But people don't just assume a metal is vibranium out of the blue...there are reasons Namor specifically said it was vibranium.
