Alright kids, regardless of forum opinion and such, this needs to stay on topic. There was legit discussion before it turned into spam, bashing, and accusations.

Shortened leash on it this time around, but I'd rather not have to close thought-provoking threads, since copyrights and dowloading affect the comic industry daily.

Bumped for pertinence.

Also, Zeb, lose the elitism. It's a valid topic, but your words still ring false when you try to either incite others to anger or appear like you know more. Stay on topic and it will be fine.

O.K. although SC was agreeing with me. He is one of the posters here I do find interesting and intelligent (damn that did sound elitist, sorry).

I thought this pertained to this thread.

I would find that moving if he we didn't live in a society where doucebag's like that make millions of dollars but police offices and soldiers of war who lose their live lives everyday don't earnshit. And I am supposed to feel sorry for this *******? 🙄

Soldiers and Policemen choose to be Soldiers and Policemen and know the pay scale in terms of renumeration.

Dude what the heck are you doing here?

You're like a deranged genius,
you should be making a billion dollars or something.

I'm being serious too, people laugh at this guy but you gotta admit,
this cat is impressive.

A brilliant madman, with an off-beat yet great sense of humor.

I've also read many of your earlier works. 👆

ps. That's the most annoying avatar I have ever seen.
(but I guess that was the point) 😂

I think some of your threads are very good!

There arent many comics shops in my country so downloading is a valid option 4 me. The few comics shops available jack up the prices and so make it evn harder

So you are a dler then?

I would never even consider to buy physical comics if I did not read many of them online, I have a paid marvel online subscription, and I get to sample many things at once and consider to buy them. Seriously, to many of us, comic fans, its not attractive to buy ongoing series that are endless and have many lows and downs each month -not counting delays-, but reading comics online help to know the industry, taste what is attractive to me and be really tempted to read complete collections later on.

Do you seriously think I would buy a Captain America comic just by the name?

(And don't make me even start about the shitty french translated comics they sell over here, total turn off)

Depends on the situation, I don't support THEFT of the issues, however as an example, another user a couple years ago, sent me the first so many issues of Lucifer, a comic I never intended to buy, but he thought I would love. After reading the first year arc[12 issues], I decided to delete them and go purchase the series in bulk, and bought the the last several issues until the series ended.

Comics are costing me a small fortune just now but I don't download any.
I did use that Yahoo group a while ago though to read some limited series comics like Ultimate Power (though I had to buy the last few issues when it was shut down)

That's the thing comics are expensive. I respect you and Juntai for being in the minority and not dlling!

A paid subscription is very different to dlling from demonoid.

So many posters here say... What is demonoid?

One of the best sites in the whole net. So Ive HEARD!

Clearly this has become AJ's latest failed attempt at having a meaningful impression on KMC, though it started as a legitimate discussion about the phenomenon of internet downloads it has since devolved. So closing, at least for the time being.
