This is the type of stuff I like to see. There's some variety at the top.

There was a good amount of variety at the Top of SF:IV in the Top-3 Placings.

shows multiple recent tournament placings until the coming of SSF:IV which obviously since that's out, who really wants to play SF:IV anymore? Lol.

Anyhow, I haven't touched this SSF:IV since like...that last time I came on here talking about me playing it, haha. Lastly, lmao off at the Fei Long Forum of 503 viewings or whatever it was, it seems the bandwagon never stops.

I remember after B3 with Valle winning the tournie with Sagat in A2, you saw a lot of peeps running him down afterwards, same w/ Alpha 3 when Valle used Ryu up against Daigo, everyone didn't believe Ryu was all that good, until that showcasing, then bam, Ryu got loved again. Even in 3s, when that Q or Necro player made it to the Finals in SBO...wow, the amount of Q/Necro players that tried to justify how "good" he was after wards was amazing.

Then, I guess whatever motivates a player to wanting to use that character, however I give more respect to players who mainly purist, or have preference to that characters play style regardless of the circumstances. If these peeps do nothing but jump on the next video of a player using "insert name" and being successful with him/her then man, there's really no identity there whatsoever.

I guess I'm just glad that the top spots aint loaded wit Sagats like SFIV. I got so much shit thrown my way for usin' him. And I was thinkin' about the SFIII bandwagon after I saw the Fei Long views, as well. I just don't see how people can get fun outta a game if they only play to win by pickin' the best. How can you truly enjoy a game if you don't even attempt to main the characters you like the most? I mean, at least Daigo tries to play wit Ryu in every game and has gone on record sayin' Ryu is his favorite.

Sagat was a phenomenal #1 character for a Street Fighter, it almost doesn't get as good as he as a character. The situation could have been alot worse, and the fact that even up until the end of SF:IV's competition, there was still characters well outside of Top-Tier making the Top-3 is great.

Anyone who cried foul on Sagat are the same players who will cry about anything that just seems "overpowered", you will have players like these all the time. For example, in my time when I used to compete, one of my brothers was one of the most annoying people I had to be around. He would moan, *****, and cry about certain things like "Well, Guile should be like this, blah, blah" which really frustrated me.

Considering he was placing within the Top-5 during our tenure of play back in those days locally so seeing him ***** got on my nerves on more then one occasion. Especially during Hyper Fighting when he cried about how Guile was slightly nerfed, thats why Ryu is now #1, and saying all that crap to me, however I finally snapped and said "Dude, back in Champion Edition when your Guile was Hot, I was still schooling you, so shut up and just play man, damn your annoying sometimes bro!".

Yeah, I love him to death, but the dude whines alot seriously, even though again, back then he was a mad solid Guile Player.

also its easier said than done to main someone you enjoy despite their rankings.. while daigo will say "oh I like this character" you can bet that he's going to stick with someone who's capable of landing a win, over someone that he enjoys to play

also.. how is Rufus' U2 good again?.. I tried to use it to juggle dictator out of scissor kicks.. and he just warped to the knockdown position and just layed there for most of the ultra, then beat my ass when he got up

Of course Daigo is going to pick the top tiers. The guy plays for the money, man. Rufus's U2 shuts down fireballs, crossovers and jumpins. What else does it need? A teleport is something different man.

I'm waiting for FrameAdvantage to upload Wong videos.

Read above...I'm not sayin' that you can't chose a characters to win. Just that it's lame to hop on bandwagons when there is nothin' at stake. Daigo uses Ryu when he can and more often than not.

As far as the fight stick goes, there is a 30% or 20% off deal goin' on for fight sticks...or pads, I think.

lol well I didnt mean a teleport in that sense.. just picture him with his feet out doing a scissor kick.. and then as if by divine graphical intervention (after he gets hit 1 time by U2), he's suddenly laying on the floor takin his sweet time to get up from knock-down. I was just like @_@.. and it happened vs ken too.. I forget what ken was doing though

I was using the TE Stick.. its not bad.. but honestly the game is going to be more your enemy than whatever controller you pick up..

I really wish they'd get rid of the auto-complete system.. I'd rather just have some stupid punch come out and get my ass whupped, than throw out a random special that I had no intention of doing.. I find this happens the most often with SRK type moves.. especially because I like to come from a crouch with alot of things.. or walk forward and suddenly do a special

You got some good basic knowledge and strats. My advice is to stop doing wake up reversals and definitely no wakeup ultra when you have no life left. You might get lucky and nail a couple of people with it, but when you fight people who don't fall for that you are pretty much giving up, and that is never a good thing. Everyone can make ridiculous Daigo and Justin Wong like comebacks if you work hard for it. Problem with most newbies is that they do a random/wakeup ultra and get their opponent offguard which results in them winning the match with no effort whatsoever; that in turn makes them think they are actually good at the game when they are not. All in all if you really want to get better just keep playing. That is how I went from a scrubby little fella to an intermediate playa.

You seemed to have a good grasp of Adon. His U1 sucks balls and I'm glad you switched to U2. At least you can SADC that one. Also from what I've gathered from fighting Adon you should try baiting and punishing shit with him. At least against shotos. He has solid normals like that beastly standing roundhouse.

What else what else? Good throws. Throwing is always good, no matter what haterz say. But don't go for throws when you have the opportunity to deal more damage with basic combos. Oh yeah just pick whatever char you feel the most comfortable with and/or like more and pit him on Ranked or find someone to do endless battle with. I prefer Endless because Ranked is full of noobs that only hurt your strats. What you need to know is basic knowledge of your char and then gain experience learning the matchups. No ammount of training is going to make you better at learning/figuring out matchups.

Yeah we should have more of this in KMC. I've played biscuits(excellent Sim) hell I got better fighting Sim with just one session with him lol and you. Hopefully No end can join the fray.

I'm tryin' to jump in on some KMC battle brawls, but shit is kinda hard for me.

yeah his normals are cool.. but it feels like his specials are crappy.. I mean jaguar kick isnt even an overhead (unless you ex it i think o_o) and I can never hit anyone with the air jaguar kick.. and tooth.. ugh... tooth.. *fetal position*

Also lol.. I think you're probably one of the only people thats better than me that will actually play against me match after match even with me sucking.. I think others will just get tired of me and /boredom_quit
