Absolutely ridiculous, and unproven in battle. He has done nothing of the sort...and he could have said anything... it doesnt prove his battle speed is that good. Especially off the board.
Once again, Thanos cant fly, nor does me move FTL, and he beat SS down easily.

Thanos does possess lightspeed reflexes, and he would beat Superman down easily as well, simply because he is too powerful.

As far as now, Thanos has not shown FTL reflexes ever, and he has beaten down surfer. Strength and speed wise, Supes is comparable and could do the same with ease.

He mastered the art of warping/doesnt need FTL movement. - He used neither to beat surfer into submission.
He can augment his strenth - Another fact, thanks - Did he do that before the fight with Surfer? He just beat him down.
Thanos vs Supes? Old Skully face is very smart. He's use that against supes instead of stupidly trying to physically fight him.

Dude, thats the point. We are not exposed to the fact the Thanos, had or did not had prep time, who knows how much his powers had been augmented from the day he was born till the day he battled SS, no !!!
The day before, or even the year before THat day, he was already stronger than SS !!
