Silver Surfer has proven he can absorb energy at will and rearrange molecules also. Superman is one of the toughest characters in comics with out a doubt but up against a cosmic being like Silver Surfer who is galactus greatest creation next to tyrant, SS will own superman all day it's not even close silver surfer can fight for weeks with the power of cosmic and blast superman into oblivion with one shot of full powered cosmic.
ss power is not limitless he has threshold of endurance and energy that he can not get over last time i checked he is not a god he does in fact gets tired and has to replenish his own cosmic enerfy reserves too, i am still waiting to get an answer in regards to the power cosmic-which is not magical in nature last time i checked- will do to supes- just energy is it not
