That is one reason I have been putting off getting a new computer. I dont want Vista, so I may build my own. But I am eternally lazy, so we will just have to wait and see. 🙁

Direct X is pretty much your video. It handles your games, video and multimedia.

You should have DirectX 10 already on your Vista machine. To check-

1. On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Run dialog box, type dxdiag

3. Click OK.
A dialog box displays the version that you are running.
