oh yeah, i know. I think it is ridiculous. i was trying to say that there should be enough to show that expulsion has no bearing on the education offered to a child.
The no child left behind policy is silly. It is to say that children were left behind before this policy, but schooling has been a requirement for some time. I believe it has been a requirement that children under the age of eighteen attend school since the 80's. I could be completely wrong, but i know this was the case when i was going through school, before the no child left behind crap

I think it is 16...My friend in highschool moved out from his parents house and lived by himself in an apartment. He dropped out for a year to work and came back for his senior year. He was 18 then. He was able to call himself in late for school!!! That was the best thing ever.

lol that would be aces to be able to call yourself in late for school

I know that in most states. A child can legally dropout at sixteen with parents permission. I did it at fifteen in South Carolina. I dont know how the no child left behind policy has effected this though

Do you even know what No Child Left Behind does?

Story here

Rest of the article is pretty disturbing. Oh and Utah is the only state with one.

Wow. That's...a disturbingly high number. And in the article it says "Nationally, about 70 percent of U.S. students graduate on time with a regular diploma." That seems incredibly low to me.

I might be biased because I went to a high school that had a 99% graduation rate when I graduated, but still.

That's because all Americans are stupid Yank tossers

With that kind of insight, I'm sure there's a 10% chance we can find a appropriate high school for you here in the States.

That strikes me as redundant.

Yank? Yes. Stupid? No. Tosser? Haha...not even close.

1 out of 3 is 33.33%, that means you fail. 😐

Well the High School I attended was #3 on the pregnancy scale; that's not much better, really.
