Sodam Yat-Ion vs. Superman-Prime (not a versus thread)

Yep I wonder what the creator of said character was thinking... or better yet doing when he came up with such a name.

Prime is going to become one of the biggest jobbers in the DC universe at which point i'll stop buying comics.

I know SMP was wearing lipstick and all...

But I don't think he's that far gone....

How is it jobbing to lose out to someone that is one of the most powerful entities in the universe?

Check out the Ion respect thread, to see what the former Ion was capable of:

Ion is no joke. Top it off with Kryptonian physiology, and it's easy to see how Yat could score a win here. The main thing he has going against him is lack of experience with Ion's powers.

Look at these scans, Spectre himself tells Kyle (as Ion) that he could re-write the entire universe if he wanted to. Losing to someone who can re-write the universe is not jobbing!

That is the first incarnation of Ion, [the one whom possessed the complete power of the CB].

The newer Ions' [ie. versions II & III], hold nowhere near that amount of power. ermm

Yes it is Ion 1, but still, didn't the guardians mention that Yat would be the most powerful version yet?

No. They claimed that he'd be unstoppable, and their greatest weapon, but not that he'd be the most powerful version of Ion.

What would the power scale difference be between the different incarnations, and where would you place Yat versus previous incarnations?

Oh my bad then.

Yat cannot currently be placed. We haven't seen enough of him. The gap between Ion I and Ion II was pretty much....indescribable.

Ion I was powerful enough to shape the universe to his whims.

Ion II was just above the top tier, and going by feats, he was just another green lantern.

Ions' II & III leech power directly from the CB, and don't need to recharge -- but going by the only feats from the aforementioned versions we have, he might be high-herald level.

ION I on the otherhand, was the CB -- No less than abstract-level.

I want the bad guys to win.

Go Superman-Prime!
