I've read the comics specifically looking for this reference before...

I think the solar system thing was simply speculation. I highly, highly doubt it was anywhere near the size of a solar system.

ANyone saying that Mageddon is the size of a solar system based on Earth's relative size obviously does not know how large an average solar system is. Suffice to say, it's pretty damn big. 🙁

Plus if the wheels worked like gears or cogs. Thats the purpose of a machine with cogs and wheels of different sizes, so it requires much less force to turn as 1 huge wheel. Making the whole thing turn using less force.
There are cog wheel machines that are pretty big and with alot of wheels inside. still, a child can turn a lever powering the whole thing.

Superman's strength feats. Plus the fact that Superman strength distinguishes him from other top tier heroes, makes me reason that he could well be above Thanos in brute strength. Hell, it's difficult to name a character greater than Superman in this regard, who isn't a cosmic or an abstract.

Thanos is far more powerful than even a sun-dipped Superman. The problem is that he lacks the feats. Powerset-wise he is off the scales as a cosmic. Anyone who think Superman>the most powerful of Cosmic Eternals in strength has to be ignorant.

I question the knowlege of a few here.

Thanos could easily match and outlast Superman(Even amping his powers to the max) who would eventually exhaust under higher levels of exertion.
