your point?or is this one of those misguided 'pr hates marvel so shouldn't speak' things?
Well to be honest im trying to avoid any beef, it just seemed unfair to make that statement. Maybe you're right but you cant accuse him of not reading enough DC he seems to know alot...maybe.
Oh yeah if you got a pm from me it wasnt a rant, just in case you thought it was the usual PZ rant trying to bite your head off.

I guess he can still keep an open mind though.

Why are you trying to say that Shazam Beating Mordru is any kind of low feat. Do you know who Shazam Is? He sits on the quintessence. Shazam gives herald lvl beings their power and they are nothing compared to him. How many Herald lvl beings does Thanos empower str8 from his own power? NONE. Fat zero Zilch.
Agreed Shazam is more powerful than Thanos IMO.
Anyway not sure how powerful Modru is but I could see Thanos beating him with prep, from the little ive read ( and what others have said) I cant see him beating Modru is a straight fight.
The only case I can bring is Thanos beating a Maker in combat, but The Maker was suffering from a mental breakdown..lol
I guess, strictly speaking, it doesn't count because Thanos absorbed someone else's life force and used THAT to empower Primo and Reptyl. Plus it was a Thanos clone (albeit an inferior one).

What issue of celestial quest does that happen in?
Still curious about that or does it matter? Primo gets transformed in CQ #4...Reptyl prior to that. (EDIT: happens in CQ #3.)
Ill read it..just want to be sure where im looking since the copy of celestial quest I have right now has art that hurts my eyes lol.
Well yeah what thanos did there is nothing like actually empowering multiple top tier/herald level people without problems, first he just combined peoples souls and used the lifeforce of someone else and in the second case he just took power from another and transformed primo with it.

I know he takes Syn's lifeforce in order to empower Reptyl. Can't remember if he does the same for Primo, though, and don't have it on hand to look at.
I thought the artwork was fine. 😛

Its ok towards the middle but the first part on mine is like really bright lol,the second case he took the energy that powered secco(sp?)and transformed primo with it.
Ah. That rings a bell. Prior to that issue he (Thanos) breaks a Priest of Pama's mind, feeds on the madness and empowers himself enough to go and chill/gloat with Eternity.

Okay, what don't you agree with in the post you quoted? The whole "Thanos with prep might be able to beat Spectre" argument is speculative, but the scans from DOV are pretty clear cut that Shazam beats Spectre initially. So if that's what you've got a problem with...why?
Hang on. Shazam himself said "How do you kill a ghost?"
And Spectre said he cannot be destroyed, as he is the undying spirit of vengeance. And here is the point you are ignoring. Galactus is a vast entity with immense cosmic power. Spectre is the divine wrath of God. He is in effect, an expression of the will of the Presence. Granted, he had no backing from the Presence there, but he is still God's wrath and empowered with a fragment of his limitless power.

Hence what I said earlier. Galactus can be stopped. You can only delay the Spirit of Vengeance. galan_spectre

I didn't claim that Thanos with prep could kill Spectre. I said he could beat him. Shazam does it with prep. As evidenced by the fact that Spectre had no power left. Just like when Black Alice takes Spectre's power - she beats Spectre. But of course, ghosts are a bloody difficult thing to kill.
Guess what, though? Thanos has transported beings to Death's realm before. Captain Marvel, for example. With prep, he'd be able to do the same thing. I'd love to see him attempt to get out.
