Well, you got to show some limits to his adaptility power...has he actually been harmed?
He's been damaged by things before he could adapt to them. Lasers, for instance.
His powers are pretty much all reactive. Not proactive, for the most part.

I think the problem with synch is the potential thing.See if he was just a power copier that would be fine, because he'd have to figure them out on the fly. But He also understands them PERFECTLY. He'd be able to kick Wolverines ass with the guys own powers.
So it really is about how he'd combine rather than the character himself.

Babies? I was talking about the people being copied, I'm fine with Synch himself.
If Jubilee (or anyone) has the innate power to go far beyond Spider-Man level then they should be over the caps for the simple reason that they have that power regardless of mental control issues.

Synch-any non-mutant = The non-mutant.
Synch without amalgamation isn't really all that great. Sure he'd do good in fights with other mutants, but without that power it's like pyro without his flame thrower versus anyone who doesn't emit flame. He's essentially useless. Synch by himself couldn't beat street thugs.
Oh yeah, he really breaks the caps by himself allright.
